Meet ACROSS THE STREET from 1400 Washington Avenue at the gates of the Lafayette Cemetery #1. Your guide will be wearing a green shirt/jacket with the Tours by Steven logo. We also end our tour nearby. You can park anywhere around the cemetery but read all signage please.

The Lafayette Cemetery #1 is closed due to repairs and we cannot enter, but we do our cemetery portion of the tour from the iron gates, where you can see the tombs clearly.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

I loved this tour! The Garden District has a rich history and this tour brought it to life. Harris was an amazing guide. His enthusiasm for New Orleans is contagious. He is very knowledgeable and is a fantastic story teller. He even texted some notes for stops on the tour and recommendations for food. I highly recommend this tour!

Angie was an incredible tour guide. She was super knowledgeable about not only the old houses of the Garden District, but also of unique plants along the way. She radiated her love of the city of New Orleans and I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the history of the city and the ins and outs of the Garden District Architecture.

This tour was my favorite! Our guide, Mr. Harris was like a walking encyclopedia and his passion for his city really made the tour fun. We learned so much about the history of both the Garden District and the whole of New Orleans. Seeing some of the homes of known celebrities was and learning about the history of the homes themselves was really interesting. Would do again for sure!
