Hi Leslie, We are saddened to hear that our historically -based haunted tour did not live up to your expectations. Our tour focuses on ghosts, vampires, true crime, and voodoo, so you did not purchase a ticket that focused only on ghosts and vampires. Mythology and folklore are an important part of history and the mythology around vampires is information our standard guests want. There are hundreds of stories in the French Quarter--there is not enough time to tell them all and so Andrew Jackson hotel is not on our list of regular stops nor is it a required stop for any of our guides. We do know that your guide stopped to talk about other stories near the hotel. We also know that your tour guide dropped you off in the same area that numerous other tour guides and numerous other companies do as well. There were no "drug deals" and the area was not "sketch." The area is safer than Bourbon Street. It is near impossible for your guide to have told "absolutely no ghost OR vampire tours" (sic) because there would have been almost no tour at all. And lastly, we are also aware that the heckling was not of the local but of your guide and we know this because another guest in your group yelled at the local to get their uber out of the street as it was blocking traffic. The local made their uber wait so they could intentionally harass our guide. Unfortunately, this is the experience of many tour guides on a daily basis. After so many days or weeks of being bullied, threatened, harassed, or other behaviors that make it difficult to do our work despite our legal city-sponsored licensing that permits us to do what we do--guides reach their limit. Especially when it comes to locals being in faces in intimidating and threatening ways. You not only requested a refund (albeit with a dishonest reason) but received that refund with no questions from our end. We hope your next travel experience (wherever that may be) is a more enjoyable one.
