Sadly the day we booked the hop on hop off tour was a super rainy day. It rained nonstop all day. We were lucky to get covered seats upstairs so had a great vantage point while staying somewhat dry. Great sights on both the red and blue lines. Some very pushy rude people, however, who cut in front of us. The commentary on the red line was excellent. However the commentary on the blue line is sorely lacking! Just obnoxious music and very little explanation of all the wonderful things we were viewing. I would highly recommend this tour on a day with good weather. It was miserable in the rain!

The customer service prior to actually getting on the bus is pretty unhelpful. Lack of communication and no live person to clarify things with. Some of the drivers are excellent and engaging while others are lame and unhelpful.

Unfortunately the UN General Assembly was the same time we visited. Traffic was a nightmare but that was not fault of the tour company. Have used Big Bus tours in many cities around the World and would recommend them. The drivers / staff are helpful, courteous and aids in making your vacation a good one.
Top is the only way to go!!

We didn't understand the bus routes and how to get on and off. The recording through the earbuds was a waste of time. It was hot and the bus had no air conditioning. I wouldn't recommend it. I think we should have taken the tea around town instead. The staff was nice and only one was informative.

We were sad that there wasn't a real person sharing tidbits and facts while on the busride. All we heard was a recording and it didn't share much. It was nice to ride and not walk, but when we've traveled before the best part was having a person point out interesting facts.

This was a perfect way to see New York and get info on it. We rode both routes then decided where we wanted to stop off and see. Busses come by frequently so you are not waiting long to get picked up. We got alot of awesome pictures.

It was good to get an overview of the city but the amount of traffic made it excruciatingly slow. It would have been quicker to walk. The commentary was out of sync with what we were seeing- at least a block ahead.
