Strawberry Fields garden, carousel, Bethesda Terrace and fountain. Seeing local performers was interesting, but much too loud for my tastes. Some of the performers was better than others. I found the sidewalk food vendors distracting.

Do yourself a favor and enjoy a couple of hours in Central Park, the crown jewel of NYC, with Michael. Michael is the Anthony Bourdain of walking tour guides. He is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and like Bourdain, will leave you with a newfound sense of appreciation for travel and seeing new things. Michael's commentary is wide in its range - local history, horticulture, politics, to name a few examples - and will interest a diverse range of walkers. He is also a terrific photographer and will probably take a much better photograph than you, so please consider leaving most of the photography to him. Michael also expertly and respectfully dealt with an extremely obnoxious group on my tour and prevented them from ruining the tour for the others. A sign of a consummate professional and one who you will not regret spending a couple of hour in beautiful Central Park with.

What a fun morning! We loved spending the time walking through the park with Michael and learning all about the construction and design of the park. He sprinkled in celebrity gossip, crime stories and even local politics. It was not too fast for me and my husband to keep up. We saw Chess and Checkers, Bethesda Angel, the boathouse, Wagner Cove, Cherry Hill, Bowman Bridge and Strawberry Fields. We got our steps in but he made a point to find seats while he talked at certain points. Would highly recommend!

Michael is a very personable, interesting and informative guide. We were fortunate to have a smallish group and perfect weather for exploring Central Park. Michael geared our tour to the guests’ ages and interests. The walking tour was at a comfortable pace with short rest breaks and time for questions. We saw many points of interest in the southern half of Central Park.

Our Central Park tour was very enjoyable and informative. Michael gave us details about the park's history and development. Intricate details were explained, such as the meaning of certain pillars and archways of the bridges. Buildings surrounding the park were explained. He walked at a pace comfortable for everyone in our group. Being in a small group tour (12 people) allowed for a more personal experience. We would definetely recommend the walking tour by Michael L Hunt. You can find him at a his own website too. Much more informational than taking the pedal cab.
