Good day but extremely expensive
Davina_B, Jan 2023
John F was a very good and formative tour guide But for the cost was expensive and you couldn’t go inside or upto the top of the statue, which we wanted to do, also the tickets we were give was $24.00 pp and I paid £70 pp it most certainly did not warrant this as we couldn’t even go inside

Hello, and thank you for sharing your experience with us. When you book the tour on viator, it very clearly states that you will not be given access to the pedestal or crown during the tour or with your ticket. That is something you would need to purchase separately on your own. Furthermore, the price does not just cover the ticket. You are paying for the tour, which includes the guide and the ticket to the islands, which explains the price discrepancy you saw. I'm glad you did enjoy John and the rest of your tour regardless of everything else.
Great experience

Very Disappointing
Nicholas_G, Jan 2023
Wasting time. We were signed up for the 10 am tour and it asked everyone to arrive about 10 minutes early to go through security. A few people arrived nearer to 10 am.l, however we had plenty of time to make the 10:10 am boat. Instead, our guide was like let’s just take our time and do the 10:50 am boat. We wasted the better part of an hour. Most of the tour then was spent waiting for the 10:50 am boat and the boat ride over. Very disappointing. The actual tour guiding was about 25 to 30 minutes.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with us! It saddens me that you did not enjoy your tour and can see how you were confused about the way we conduct of tour. We asked that all guest arrive 15 minutes before their tour start time for check in. We pride ourself on starting our tours on time. If there were guest that came a few minutes before the tour start time, we do not leave them behind because they arrive before the tour start time of 10AM. The National Park association manages the ferry schedule and ferries are currently running every 40 minutes. Before boarding the ferry, the group has to make it through security. This would have not been enough time to board to 10:10AM Ferry. However, we do not pause our tour to wait for the ferry and we try to take advantage of that time to sharing insightful historic content.
Amazing experience

🗽/Ellis Island tour with Tim
Steven_Y, Jan 2023
Tim was our guide and made the 4 hour Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour unforgettable He was friendly, animated, super knowledgeable, and funny Tim especially brought to life for us what transpired at key moments during the construction and final unveiling of the Statue of Liberty. For example I will never see ticket tape parades the same way again! It was like having a 4 hour college class taught on site and in motion by your favorite teacher
Lynie_P, Jan 2023
Great information from our guide, but needed to be a little less wordy. I felt like I had to give him my attention while he spoke, but would have enjoyed looking around more.
