Seeing the paintings of historical artists in person. I liked the fact that the viewings allowed space to admire said exhibitions and I wasn’t rushed into looking at and moving on from the artists’ portraits on display

A post-holiday Monday afternoon was a terrific time to visit without the crowds everyone was complaining about. I had time to really immerse myself in the top two floors and I look forward to returning to explore further. The experience improved my understanding of the evolution of art through the modern era.

I had my scheduled entry moved a day and when we rocked up the tickets weren't valid. This meant lining up to get physical tickets, which defeats the purpose. The queue into the museum can stretch the entire block, which is only for security. Then you have to purchase tickets inside. The museum can be REALLY packed, especially on the 5th floor. You'll spend 3 to 4 hours here easily.

The museum is beautiful but our time slot was at 3pm and we waiting in lines to get in until 4 and then only had an hour to look around the museum until they kicked us out. Because of how crowded it was we only got to see one floor of the museum.
