Lovely day in the Cotswolds

We had a lovely day touring the Cotswolds with Mal and Pete. We had never been there before and their knowledge and beautiful tour made us fall in love with the area - and with them.

This is the BEST way to do Cotswolds!!!

Book this trip if you're looking to hit the best spots in Cotswold! It was an AMAZING day! We got very lucky that Mal was so flexible with our scheduling and even let us bring our luggage with us to be dropped at train at the end of the tour. While we drove around to each town, not only did we get to see some beautiful sites but both Mal and Peter were so knowledgeable about the history of everywhere we visited (Mal also works in a tourism office in her spare time!). We learned so much throughout these few hours, ate some good bites that they recommended and was the right way to fall in love with the Cotswolds. Mal even walked us by the oldest inn in England and let us grab a quick drink inside (which was so cool to check out!). They took us to several areas that were some of their favorite picks and a bit off the beaten path and less touristy but just as beautiful and we couldn't have been more grateful. It was also so nice to have the van to ourselves and have it be private, we were able to leave our belongings in there each time we got out to walk around. The entire experience was wonderful and I highly recommend, even if it's just a day trip from London - the train is short enough and it was TOTALLY worth it. Thank you Mal & Peter!!!

Mal and Peter showed us the Cotswolds as only residents can. From the more well-known villages (Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, etc.) to lesser known or hidden gems - it was a delightful day that went by too quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Cotswolds with Mal and Pete. It was like spending an afternoon with good friends. They took us to both the “must see” spots that tourists love as well as little villages off the beaten path. They will personalize the tour to whatever your individual interest might be whether it’s history, shopping, architecture, or in my case it was gardening. The tour was definitely the highlight of our trip to England.

My husband and I took the train from Oxford into Moreton-in-Marsh, where we were greeted warmly by Mal almost literally as we got off. We instantly felt comfortable with her and Pete, who acted as our driver. They were not only warm and engaging but incredibly knowledgeable about the Cotswolds. Their affection for the area was also obvious. Could you do it on your own? Maybe but you wouldn’t know what you were looking at or be privy to any of the local lore, which is more than half the fun. We visited quite a few villages, a number of which lend themselves to a dedicated weekend away. For us, it was just enough. A perfect day.

This does not gets any more exclusive than what it is. You will enjoy bucolic scenery, great stunning views, idyllic cotswolds stone made cottages all over. It is almost a fairy tale. The best was enjoying this with the help of the hosts Mal and pete, they are so nive you would not believe it, besides being locals they have decades of experience in the hospitality business, so they sure know how to treat people and also their way around, not only the history of each plce, but the amazing stories behind each and every one of them. Can´t wait to go back, we alreday miss them, it was like visiting old firends!
