We chose this tour because we had a tight schedule, yet we wanted to visit inside a few of the colleges and learn a bit of their history. The description said we'd visit "some of the oldest colleges," but Simon only took us into one (Balliol- which, to be fair, was beautiful). We stood on the street outside others, and he pointed to them, describing what they'd look like if we were to visit them on our own later. (Some of them didn't open until noon but the tour was to last until 12:30, which should allow for one more.) This tour was advertised as covering the cost of entry to what we assumed would be two or three colleges, so for one it seemed a poor value. We did walk into the courtyard of the Bodleian, where he pointed to the academic doors, and we visited the lobby of the Weston library, where he pointed out the bathrooms. The most disappointing feature was that the tour guide struck us (and others on the tour) as painfully out-of-date in referring to race or religious groups. My teens were amazed, and not in a good way.

A very good introduction to Oxford and the universities. We were able to see inside two of the Universities and their grounds which were beautiful. There was a lot of interesting history and it was given to us in a friendly and knowledgeable way by Daisy, our tour guide

Despite it being a warm day, Simon was a wonderful guide as he shared interesting insights about the history of various Oxford colleges and buildings. He also shared places which could help beat the rush and sun! We got to se the New College Chapel and Cloisters which is a must visit for any Harry Potter fan. Definitely worth a go!

The young guide (Kamil) was absolutely brilliant and gave us just the amount of information we needed - no overload !! He was very polite and knowledgable and we felt very relaxed - the tour involved just the 4 of us - all in our mid 60’s !!
