Hollis was an amazing guide! She had a fantastic knowledge of the local cacti, plants, and rocks in the park so we learned a lot about this on our hike. She also had several stories about the history of the park as well. She took us on an interesting hike and we were rewarded with a beautiful view at the end! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to have an adventurous and enriching experience in Joshua tree park!

Hiking without the crowds was a wonderful experience.

Joshua Tree In Bloom!!

Hollis was our guide for the half day. Incredibly knowledgeable on the park and the geology. Hollis took us off the beaten path to enjoy the bloom that was happening after the recent rains. We climbed rocks, hiked washes, and climbed mountains to get unreal views. A truly great experience for our family.

Our guide Caryn was fantastic! Her knowledge of, and passion for, Joshua Tree National Park - its history, culture, surrounding areas - is impressive. We moved at the perfect pace and she was very generous with her time. I would absolutely recommend this guided hike.

We took a 1/2 hike off the beaten path with Travis. He is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. A sweet surprise was finding a tortoise just emerging from hibernation on top of a large rock formation. We went at a leisurely pace, which was great for me! We even enjoyed a picnic under a Joshua Tree midway through. Highly recommend!!

I had been to Joshua Tree one previous time, on my own, without a guide. This time around, accompanied by an experienced guide, I learned a whole lot more than when hiking solo. Our guide, Caryn, was very, very knowledgeable of Joshua Tree National Park as a result of her having worked for the Park Service for many years at that location. We learned so much about the flora, fauna, history and indigenous peoples of the area. I love a tour guide who imparts humor into their dialogue, which Caryn did. She customized our hikes to our desires and experience. Although you're in high desert, the walking is on pretty flat territory. My one caveat to those touring Joshua Tree during the winter months - it's COLD. We'd been advised to dress warm, but we didn't listen closely enough. Bring layers of clothes as the altitude makes for a dramatic temperature difference between Palm Springs and the Park. Other than that, a guided tour such as this will leave you with much more knowledge than if you toured the park on your own.

Travis, owner of “Wandering Mojave” guide service, was extremely knowledgeable of the terrain, & ecosystem of Joshua Tree National Park. He led us on an amazing 7 mile hike while educating us on the flora & rock formations around us. I highly recommend Travis and his guide service!
