What To Expect

Learn how Champagne is made, and at the end of this full-day tour, be able to answer: What is a Blanc de Blancs, a Blanc de Noirs? How is Champagne rosé made? Do ‘Grands Crus’ and ‘Premiers Crus’ exist in Champagne? Is there a specific Champagne terroir?

After early morning hotel pickup in Paris, travel with your knowledgeable guide and a small group of passengers east of the city. En route, bite into a flaky croissants while hearing about the winemaking region of Champagne and its heritage.

Arrive at your first Champagne estate of the day, such as Moët & Chandon, Mumm, Veuve Clicquot or Mercier (depending on availability). Step inside cellars, walk through a maze of galleries and enjoy a tasting at the end of the guided tour. Come away knowing the secrets behind the méthode champenoise.

Back in your air-conditioned minivan, pass through the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, Cote des Blancs, and Vallée de la Marne, between Reims, Ay, and Epernay. As you admire the colorful landscapes, learn how to distinguish the three different Champagne grapes: chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier.

Settle in at a family-run Champagne estate, enjoy a delicious meal of traditional food, paired with a Champagne tasting.

We enjoyed a fantastic day to a beautiful place. Our guide was first class. The lunch and the champagne at Voirin-Jumel were and absolute highlight. The last stop at one of the smaller houses was a little disappointing but that was the only negative. The rest of the experience was wonderful.

Planned a 7 day trip to Paris to celebrate my partners birthday. We did all the normal tourist things including the Eiffel tower, museums, and of course great food. I have done many tours of wineries, and excursions, but never have I had such an amazing experience! From the begining there was exlempenary service, we were staying at the Marriot Villages outside of Paris and the company graciously picked us up outside of the pick up location. Our guid Simone truly was the shining gem of this tour, he not only was informative concerning every facet of chamgpagne and the region, but made the entire trip a never ending cascade of smiles, laughter, and stimulating conversations. It was my partners birthday and Simone took us to this amazing overlook of the vines and showed my partner how to pop a bottle of champagne and gave her a spectacular moment. I am recommedning the tour and Simone to all my friends and family. We learned the beauty of champagne, the love for the land, the philosophy of love, and most importanlty had amazing champagne!

This was our first tour of the Champagne region. Jo, our private guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the region. The private ride was super comfortable for our party of 6, lunch was delicious at a local restaurant. Snowy wine-filled day!

We went as a couple for a champagne tour and tasting in January 2023. We got paired with one other couple, who ended up being a great match! It was a beautiful day as we drove into the snow-filled region. Be warned when you go in off-season, the big champagne hours aren't open but it was interesting to see the production at the smaller establishments. We also had a semi-private lunch with a few people on another tour group. We drank ALOT of champagne (probably too. much, ouch) but it was so fun and delicious. Shoutout to tour driver and sommelier Mathilde for putting up with us! Dress warm in winter.

What an Amazing day! Our tour guide, Joel, was top notch! He kept us appraised of his arrival to pick us up and then provided exceptional service throughout the tour….he was even able to add a stop at Norte Dame du Reims which we were super excited about as Notre Dame du Paris is closed. He was very informative and attentive and went the extra mile to get to know each guest. The first cave we visited, Pommery, was awesome! This cave was worth the price of the tour alone! The lunch stop was delicious and you will not leave hungry! After lunch we had a few extra minutes so Joel took us to a scenic overlook of the valley and to the abbey where Dom Perignon was buried…..another bonus! The whole day was informative, fun and well worth the price! I could not recommend this tour any more…..it’s perfect! A must do if you are in a Paris and would love to get to the countryside and try some champagne!

Our guide, Joe'l, communicated with us prior to let us know about our meeting. He met us right on time at our hotel. Joel was an excellent guide as he had professional training in wine making. On the way to the Champagne region he spend the time explaining the champagne making process and the grapes used. Once we arrived the tasting houses we visited were excellent. The lunch that was included was very good and was also in a tasting house, which was a nice bonus. In all, the entire experience was fantastic and we would recommend it to anyone interested in champagne or a nice day trip from Paris.

Our guide, Jean Baptiste was excellent. From our pick up at our hotel at 7:30am until our drop off in central Paris at 5:30pm; he took very good care of us the entire way. He was our driver and guide the entire day. He was very knowledgeable about wines and champagnes. The highlight was definitely the lunch with pairings. I was a bit disappointed that the some others on the tour did not tip the Jean at the end since he was sensational. Otherwise, we would do this tour again when we return to France.

This was a great day trip out of the city. Champagne is the closest wine region to Paris so if you're short on time and want a wine tour, you should head here. It's only a couple of hours out of the city, with a stop first to Reims to see a less famous but very important Notre Dame. We visited 3 different wineries. You have ample time a each, and lots of opportunities to buy and taste. The larger wineries can ship to the USA. We met some cool people on our tour and our guide was great.
