Fantastic guide . Not so fantastic access.

The guide (Pedro) was fantastic. Unfortunately the access was poor. Waited in a lot of lines. We thought the whole point of booking a tour was to avoid all the lines. Not so with this tour.

There is ZERO value in this tour. You wait in same lines and pay 4x more than you would just by showing up at eiffel tower the morning you want to visit. On the day we were scheduled, the eiffel tower had a delayed opening and the group was not able to go in at all because the queue became too long and tour guides could not get through security. I do not fault the tour company for this as the opening was out of their control, however we were asked to rebook for another day or be refunded. We chose to rebook but were told that if we could not make that date that we could then be refunded. When we were not able to attend the tour, they refused to refund the money.

Pathetic - Horrible experience

We went to see Eiffel Tower using Viator booking on 14th August 2023. Our slot was at 08:30AM. We reached there before 08:20AM. Waited patiently till 10:45AM when the UTG guide told us that tour may take another 2 hrs to start. We were waiting along with our kids (7 years old !) - horrible experience. Eiffel tower management was also not transparent on their communication. Later they open the tower for viewing but those who had booked from Eiffel tower website were allowed. All viator booking cases were denied entry !!! Finally Viator / UTG refunded the ticket price - but who will compensate the waste of time and pain faced by kids ???

I payed for a tour, and they just took us to the Eiffel Tower, let us wait in the line for buying the tickets, gave us the tickets and that was all, the “Tour” was only to tell us in to which line should we wait for the tickets. I wouldn’t recommend it. For the price I expected an explanation about the history of the tower etc.

Price is hefty for a basic “skip the line tour”. Tour guide stayed at level 2 while we went up to the top. By the time we came back there was no tour. Not worth your money.

No value/poorly executed

No value in the experience. Had us arrive much too early and we just stood around for 45 mins in the rain (which they aren’t to blame for obviously). Overall the extra money spent got us nothing in return.

Guide met us on time at the appointed place. Our group left together to the Eiffel tower. At the gate, we went through security, and continued the line formation. She then went to buy the tickets. Since there was a huge crowd, she did not manage to keep the entire group together, unlike other tour groups. We lost our guide after the first elevator, as she didn't travel up on the second. She did not explain any of the history, as she promised. My third visit to the Eiffel tower. My worst experience with a guide.

Although this was sold as a skip the queue it merely meant lets queue up before everybody else does. The guides were sweet especially Arthur, but communication was lacking and standing around was painful. There was very little benefit to the booking that some honest knowledge on Viatour information pages wouldnt have sufficed. Never mind the experience had to be done.

This guided Eiffel Tower tour was the worst! I do not recommend anyone to book this. We arrived at the meet point, they quickly checked our ticket and said to follow the lady with flag to Eiffel Tower. I never was even told the tour guide name. The guide was so impersonal was on phone entire time we were on line for Eiffel Tower. She herself was so confused with different groups and families joining in at the Eiffel Tower line. We followed her until she purchased the ticket with her colleague’s help and got us in via security. Once we entered past security she asked us to just go up using the elevator and waved to us. We went up the elevator with a few others on group after that point we never saw her again. So we had no guided tour. The only thing she did was buy the tickets for us in which we could have done it our selves. Instead we paid so much for a tour guide we never ever got.
