What To Expect

Spend an evening sampling the best of what France's wine industry has to offer during a French wine and Champagne tasting in Paris. Make your way to a beautifully renovated wine cellar in Paris' city center, not far from the Louvre Museum, and settle in for a French wine master class.

With guidance from a sommelier, you'll taste six different French wines from all over the country, including Bordeaux, Sancerre, Rhone and Champagne. Learn what makes French wines so beloved. Hear about how Champagne is made, and why it's long been considered the best bubbly. Find out how to taste wine correctly, what words like 'appellation' and 'terroir' mean and how to read a French wine label.

This 2-hour wine tasting is designed to give you a deeper understanding of French wines in a relaxed setting where you can actually enjoy what you're learning. Sip wine from delicate Riedel glasses and nibble fresh bread – or upgrade to add a plate of cheese and charcuterie for a more substantial snack.

At the conclusion of the tasting, you'll receive a list of all the wines you sampled, and you'll leave with greater confidence for the next time you're handed a wine list in a restaurant.

I would highly recommend this for anyone going to Paris especially early in your trip so you understand the wines better before trying to order in a cafe or Restaurant!
I certainly recommend getting some of the food options for the evening.
The O Chateau was a perfect venue for tasting wine in the centre of Paris - no need to leave the city, particularly if you are only there for a short while.

Great experience! Definitely recommend adding a charcuterie. If going as a couple, get one cheese only and one meat only, instead of a mixed, as you get more of a variety that way.

Great spot, knowledgeable sommelier, full pours. We started out with champagne and tried six different wines. They provided charcuterie (or a cheese board for the vegetarians in our group). We were with our two daughters who are in their early-20s, and we all had a good time.

This was a great experience! Our sommelier was so knowledgeable about the wine and even knew what types of food paired well with them. The only issue was that my friend and I purchased the cheese, and meat tray and when we got there they said if we wanted it we had to pay 15€ extra. We explained that we already purchased it and it was cleared up after a little back and forth. Other than that, we had a great experience.
