What To Expect

Your tour departs at 1:30pm. Meet at the spot in Paris specified at least 15 minutes before the start time. Please take note that if you’re late, there will not be accommodations made, and you won’t be refunded, so please make sure you're on time.  

Sit back and relax on your luxury bus ride. It takes a little over an hour to get from Paris to Giverny, but once you arrive, stop at Claude Monet’s pink stucco house. Explore the area, and go into rooms where Monet himself sat and lived. Many renovations have been made to the house over the years, but you’ll still see items owned and used by the Impressionist painter himself.

Afterward, it’s on to the garden. Walk around the planted grounds, and take in sights that might look familiar already. Many of Monet’s painting were inspired by his outdoor garden area. See the well-known green archways climbing with plants and shrubs. Plus, catch a glimpse of the bridge Monet painted in his famous Waterlilies and Japanese Bridge.

Follow your group as they board your luxury bus for the ride back to Paris.

Very crowded even in beginning of May, so be prepared for that.
The only problem with the day was that it fell at the beginning of a long weekend, and the site was packed.

much more convenient way to see Monets Gardens

this was a great way to travel to Givernay. We have two small children and the tour arranged for a carseat. We didn't have to lug our stroller on public transportation. its a nice ride out to monets house/ town from Paris and you basically are self guided once you arrive. very convenient and I would rec it for anyone traveling to Givernay.

I would write a review but I never even went on the tour, was yelled at by the tour operator, and then was denied a refund so that I could book a different tour. 0/10 would not recommend ever booking through Viator.

Bonjour Rose, If a scam is when a Tour Company waits 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time and then must take the difficult decision to leave a latecomer behind though the Tour Operator made it clear for people to arrive 10-15 minutes before the time of the tour for check-in, then YES this was a scam and we are really sorry you are looking at things that way. As Tour Operators, though our aim is to provide the best experiences, we, unfortunately, cannot reach that goal if participants do not read the instructions. We do understand that traffic conditions may lead travelers to arrive late at the tour departure point but these same bad circulation conditions force us to leave on time to run the tour in good conditions. As far as the refund which was denied to you, I am sure the same would have also been denied to you if you had missed your plane or your train. Thank you very much. Arnaud

Monets garden was as beautiful as expected. But Michelle’s commentary on the drive there really added to my understanding of his life and of the history of art, it was excellent! She also showed us additional things on the drive back and supplied more fascinating info on Paris in general.

We had Christophe as our guide and he was EXCELLENT! He picked us up on time and drove us out to Giverney. He even got us to Giverney early so we beat ALL the crowds! He must have taken 50 pictures of us and was so patient but yet knew how to move us along to get great pics. Giverney was lovely - even in September! Flowers were out and they were so high as they had all season to grow. If you ever studied Monet - this trip is for you - I absolutely loved it and Christophe made it the BOMB!

Beautiful day in Giverny. Isabelle was a great guide and full of knowledge. Obviously she loves art and history! I recommend her highly. It was a very hot day and very crowded which meant long queues and difficulty getting pictures of the gardens without people in the way. I would recommend checking the weather before purchasing. A few of the older folks on my tour didnt get to see the museum because they had to turn back due to the long queue in the hot sun. Just a heads up I arrived early to the agency I stepped inside to let them know I was here for the tour. They were very busy but a gentleman asked which tour and I said Giverny. He said nothing more just went off running around so I stepped outside to wait in front of the door as the store is small and people were constantly in and out and others were waiting outside as well. Eventually he led a group of people to a bus and left for a tour. Several mins later people came outside and boarded another bus so I asked someone else who looked like they worked there which tour was leaving and she said Giverny. I almost got left! So be aware you will need to speak up loudly and often to be sure as they apparently cannot keep track of all the people even after they arrive and check in. But I enjoyed the tour very much and forgot about that little glitch till now. Dont let that deter you.

We had a very nice driver who gave us information on Monet and his garden. On time departure from our meeting spot. Comfortable van and we had nice conversations with our driver on many topics about France during our rides to and from Giverny. We had direct entrance to the site and had plenty of time to visit the gardens and Monet’s house. Unfortunately the grounds were quite crowded, but it was not unexpected since our visit was on Sunday. All in all it was a very nice tour and delivered as advertised.

This is an amazing trip that all of us recommend! The ride out there included facts about Monet’s life. Once there, we were able to skip the line to the front. We had enough time to wander through the lily gardens, the flower gardens, Monet’s house and the gift shop. Absolutely stunning!!! Well worth it!

The riot of colour of spring flowers was sensational. There were many different arrangements of many varieties flowers. Wall flowers, pansies and forget-me-nots, were planted under antirrhinums, alliums, peonies and tulips, not to mention the flowering shrubs. Absolutely amazing!
