Great tour!
Dara_C, Oct 2022
This is a long day but well worth it I personally enjoyed the gardens more than Versailles but both are not to be missed Our guides were wonderful
Great adventure with a safety warning.
John_S, Oct 2022
Wonderful drive from Paris. House and gardens are a must see if you are a Monet fan. Be very careful walking from parking lot to the house. They have placed posts in the path to prevent car traffic, but they pose a risk. Some are very low. Ended up in ER to repair forehead after hitting one.

Good way to see you two major attractions in one day but might be best to just focus on Giverney
Sheryl_F, Oct 2022
This is a two-part tour with two different tour guides. Both of our tour guides were Very kind and worked to keep track of our group. The morning was a bus ride to Giverney. Our tour guide lead us to the group entrance and dropped us off, and we were free to roam the grounds for three hours or so. Giverney is beautiful and the Monet grounds are absolutely sublime. It would be easy to spend an entire day in this area just exploring all of the lovely landscaping and art galleries and shops. I give this part of the day five full stars. We were also instructed to find our own lunch at any one of the nearby cafés. The café that we went to was awful. The food was terrible and the service was slow and quite rude to us. We made our way back to our bus by 1215 and transported to Versailles. At this point we were introduced to our second tour guide, and given a headphone hearing device in order to hear the tour guide explanation as we walked through the palace grounds. Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. But the palace was crowded beyond belief. It was so overwhelming and distracting that it was hard to really learn or enjoy anything. After the revolution, Versailles fell into disrepair and everything was removed so for the most part everything that you see in the spaces are a recreation or a reconstruction. The vast majority of the palace is not open to the public. This tour might be a little better in a small tour. This group had 24 people in it and it was really hard for the tour guide to keep track of us all. Part of our tour was a separate ticket into the gardens. We had very strict instructions to be back to the bus by 515 and from the gardens it’s a good 20 to 30 minute walk. So by the time our tour ended we had very little time to look at anything in the garden area. The directions inside of the garden area are not at all clear on how to exit and there was no one around to provide any assistance. If we had all of this to do over again we would have arranged our own transportation out to Giverney, bought a $10 ticket into the Monet grounds and spent the day exploring that beautiful little city. And we would not take any time to go out to Versailles. On a positive note I will say that the transportation was excellent, the bus was comfortable and clean, the driver was safe and everything ran on schedule. Two stars for the Versailles part of the day. Average together the entire tour earns three stars from us.

Terrible
Angeline_H, Oct 2022
Started with the guide being late in the morning! We suspect she is not an licensed guide at all. When we reached Giverny, we were on our own, no guided tour. We saw other groups all with their guides walking them thru. I suggest to book from their competitors so that you dont get short changed. Not enough time for lunch too. They changed another guide at Versailles. Nothing spectacular about the guide, just a regular guide going thru the motion. In short, dont book them.

Excellent experience!
John_N, Oct 2022
The tours were both excellent! I would do the palace separately because it is so massive and I would want to spend the day seeing everything.

I wish the guide we had in the beginning would have stayed with us the full day.
Sheila_D, Sep 2022
Monet's home and garden were my favorite. It was beautiful. Versailles was under construction so we didn't get to see it all. The hall of mirrors was awesome.
Versailles
Paul_H, Sep 2022
Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable, very excited to share her knowledge- friendly - funny - and sweet! Loved the tour. Would book again! The only disappointment was the fountains weren’t running.
Guide at first sight...
Sharon_S, Sep 2022
Guide at first sight palace was lively informative and excellent but guide for Versailles was 30 minutes late to start the tour. She had it us to the path to give her knee and we never got anything but a self-guided tour. Disappointing
Great guide. Unprepared town for travelers.
Heidi_D, Sep 2022
Marie S. was an energetic and fun guide. Was a little bummed she did not show us around the house or town but I did not see any group doing that so maybe it is not allowed. A major downfall was that most of the restaurants were not open to serve food until 1130 so it was a rush to eat and get back to the bus. That is certainly not the travel groups fault but maybe a solution would be to have the tour start later so travelers can enjoy a good lunch. The town did not seem ready for travelers on a Saturday.
A Pleasant Ride to Giverny and Versailles
Timothy_M, Sep 2022
Monet’s Gardens/Versailles were a nice day trip out of Paris. We only had three days in Paris and tried to make the most of it. It was a nice meeting place and provided a beautiful morning view of the Eiffel Tower. Monet’s Gardens we’re quiet and tranquil, and there were cafes nearby to sit and enjoy some good food before returning to the bus. Versailles was excellent in all of its glory and having a tour guide helped to skip the line. The tour provided all it needed to, and as long as you returned to the same point they dropped you off at the scheduled time (5 p.m.) you were fine. We had no problem returning to Paris by 6 p.m. and were even a little early.
Michele our guide was not...
Dominic_C, Sep 2022
Michele our guide was not a guide. We got to Giverny she dropped us off and said be back at the proper time, or we will leave e you here. Same at Versailles. And then did not even show up on departure. We left on our own
Great tour!
Victoria_S, Aug 2022
Great tour! Guides were informative and skip the line at Versailles was so worth it! Awesome experience!!
Great guide but overcrowded
Susan_G, Aug 2022
Loved the Monet home and garden. The Japanese garden, my favorite, was very difficult to find and when we got there, they said we couldn’t go in because we had left the grounds to get there and had to buy another ticket. Very confusing. Taking us all to the Japanese gardens first would have been a huge help rather than just dropping us off. Our guide was wonderful, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed her bubbly personality. I’m sure just following her instructions. Made sure return times were clear so we could stay on schedule. Unfortunately, it was over 90 degrees and incredibly crowded at Versailles so that was a bit exhausting. Lovely guide for that section, as well. Some very rude groups which she had to finesse and she did it seamlessly. Overall, a fabulous venue but crowds and weather put a damper on the experience. I wish these places would put a cap on admissions to keep crowds to a more reasonable number. Would have completely changed the experience.
Giverny & Versailles.
William_H, Aug 2022
Easy to meet up for the bus. Nice ride to Giverny and the guide led us to the meeting place and the house. Great info while on the bus. Short ride to Versailles then large crowds in the palace. Hot day, lots of waiting, but a good job by Anna of explaining the life of the Sun King. Easy ride back to Paris. Would recommend.
Monet is a great, peaceful experience - Versaile is the opposite
Annette_W, Jul 2022
The Giverny part of the trip was great. Marie gave good information about the area we were driving through and the options when arriving at the Monet garden. She was also around to answer any questions or make suggestions. The garden was beautiful and many flowers were in bloom. The 2nd part - Versaille - left much to ask for. One of the bus members did not get a ticket and the guide made no effort at all to help her. When we got into Versaille, the headset audio was hard to understand. The guides commentary were very skimpy, stopping in mid sentance without having said anything than "another painting of king Luis xxx". Really not much value to her commentary at all. The public information would have probably been more useful. Overall she jumped around between history and there was no consistency or way to understand where she was in terms of historic perspective. I would have preferred more detail and more time to visit the garden properly. Overall the group was bigger than expected. I expected 20 and we were 34. Would have been good to know that when making the reservation.
Last Day in Paris
Myrna_C, Jul 2022
The first part of the tour “Monet’s Giverny House” was very good. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, we had plenty of time to visit Monet’s garden, Monet’s house and we had time to eat. However the second part of the tour was a DISASTER…we spent more than 40 min for the guide to get us in. We were put with another group because our group had less people. The guide was very knowledgeable but he talked so much that we didn’t have enough time to visit the gardens. My advice is that for the future do a summary because is way too much history for the limited time that we have to visit the Palace and the gardens. Last but not least, our driver dropped us off in another location very far away from where we were picked up. The driver didn’t speak any English and we had not a tour guide with us in the bus the way back. The Company name is CITY WONDERS which I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Beautiful, but don't pay extra for the fountains.
Melanie_H, Jul 2022
Both were beautiful, but I paid extra for the fountain show. First our guide emailed all of us our tickets, but I didn't have service so he had me take a picture and someone else used it so they made me buy again, then no explanation my whole group was wandering trying to find a show that we never found.
Giverny was great,...
Kendra_L, Jul 2022
Giverny was great, Versailles was terrible - way to different experiences to be part of the same tour
Good tour but with problems
William_P, Jul 2022
Giverny was marvelous as was our guide Marie. It was over 100 degrees and the guides for Versailles were late so we stood outside for 20 minutes. The bus was supposed to leave at 6:00 and we all came back early to be on time. Driver didn’t show up until 5:53 all of us baking again in the heat.
