Follow your guide and start climbing the hill of Montmartre, along the cobbled streets, past the residences of famous inhabitants such as Picasso and Van Gogh. Once you reach the top of the hill, head inside at the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur, which offers sweeping views over the city. Film buffs take pleasure in recognizing settings from the movie 'Amélie.' Stop by other landmarks such as the Amélie Café, the Artists' Square, Moulin de la Galette, and Place Dalida.

This small-group tour is limited to just eigh people, ensuring an intimate atmosphere, personalized attention from your guide, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Montmartre

Discover the history of Montmartre, as we will climb the butte or hills - starting at its base where the Moulin Rouge’s windmill still spins slowly. Wind up the hill and its cobbled streets flooded with charm to discover the houses of artists like Van Gogh and Picasso who called Montmartre home. At the summit, enter the gleaming white basilica of Sacré Coeur, and score a spectacular photo op of Paris from one of the city’s highest points. Lovers of the film Amélie, will feel at home in this district, where much of the movie was filmed. Continue to explore Montmartre's highlights that generally include - Moulin Rouge, Sacré Coeur Cathedral (with time allowed to explore inside as well), Place Dalida, Moulin de la Galette, Vincent Van Gogh’s house, The Artists’ Square, and Amélie Café. Consider an evening tour option and catch a sunset over the city if you’re lucky (depending on the season).

Great Introduction to the historic Parisian arts community

My husband and I had a great tour with Romain! We loved the small/intimate size of the tour- it was just the two of us and the tour guide! Monmarte is definitely my favorite area in Paris because of the quaintness of its streets and the history we learned about from our guide. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get a taste of the area & local culture!

Guide was well informed and the city was very pleasant. Not a lot info, but good stories. Good change from the chaos of Paris. We did not get into Moulin Rouge, but suggest you try a show after the tour for a full day outside of Paris
