What To Expect

As the undeniable heart of Paris, it is only fitting that your tour begins outside of Notre Dame Cathedral. Here, you’ll greet your private guide and tour the exterior of the iconic landmark. Receive a historical overview of the Gothic masterpiece and then cross the city’s oldest bridge: Pont Neuf.

Your second stop is the Tuileries Gardens, replete with manicured flower beds and attractive flora, before you delve into Paris’ gruesome history and visit Place de la Concorde, the site of Paris’ infamous guillotine.

See, too, the iconic Louvre museum and Fontaine Saint Michele, before concluding your historical tour with a stroll down the Champs Elysee.

Ile de la Cite

Once at the meeting point, you will start your tour by exploring ile de la cite, the oldest settlement in Paris. Once known as Lutetia, this former Roman city was the predecessor of present-day Paris, from which the city grew outwards.

We had an amazing tour with Hugo, our very knowledgeable and passionate guide. He took us on a 2 1/2 walking tour from the Ile de la Cité to the Louvre, zig zagging through different streets, each rich with its own history. He shared fascinating stories of Paris - the people, the history, the architecture and more. Since he was a graduate of ancient history in Uni, his depth of knowledge shone through, so did his love of Paris.

Kept two teenages - 13 and 15 - entertained and wanting to know more about the history of Paris. Included ancient and modern history. Time went by fast without any one asking how much longer ‘til it’s over. And Francois’ energy was contagious. Lovely, knowlegable and funny. Even gave us a great restaurant suggestion - Soon Coreen. Bloody brilliant!
