What To Expect

Your tour starts at a central location in Paris, where you board a motorcoach for transfer to the base of the Eiffel Tower on the banks of the Seine River.

Accompanied by a guide, step aboard your river cruise for a ride along the city's romantic waterway, gliding under elegant bridges and past landmarks such as Musée d'Orsay, Grand Palais, Petit Palais, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. This is a great way to take in Paris' architecture in the evening light.

When you return to the starting point, you have some time for photos of the Eiffel Tower before meeting your guide for the motorcoach ride to Paris' Pigalle area in a northern district of the city. The cruise along the Seine gives you an amazing view of the iconic Paris landmarks. Afterwards, you load a bus that takes you to the Moulin Rouge. The show is entertaining, something you should do if you’re in Paris. There was some miscommunication between the tour guides on the different meeting points, so our tour group had to scramble to find where to go. Tip: skip the half bottle of champagne option and just go with the included glass. At the Moulin Rouge, you get sat in a table for six. Wait staff is nowhere to be seen during the performance, so we couldn’t open the additional champagne bottles.

The Moulin Rouge show is worth to watch!

Claude was great! We were very impressed with how many languages he knew!! The show was AMAZING!! Champagne taste good. If you ask for water at the show they will tell you about 5 times that it will be an additional 5€ and they seemed very concerned that you might not pay 😆 but it’s a very large glass bottle of water so I didn’t mind at all. The show starts around 11 and you won’t be out of there until after 1 so if you can allow it in your schedule, I would highly recommend a little nap before 😅

I thought it was a gamble to book this after the mixed reviews, especially with my elderly mum in tow, but was a great success! Just word of warning, stick to your tour guide, and don’t turn up late, otherwise there would be no way of catching up… as everything is timed and you need to move as a flock! Eduardo was very descriptive though, and gave us fair warning to stick to the brief to avoid any worries about being left behind! Cruise was lovely and I’m sure comparable to any other, and the show didn’t disappoint. Other customers mentioned lots of queuing and it’s true, you queue for the boat and show but you would do in any case so this did not phase me or my elderly mum! We were just too excited!

We had a fabulous experience. The experience started on time. The cruise was nice, but Moulin Rouge was fabulous. The tour guide, Eduardo, did a phenomenal job at keeping us informed and perfectly well-organized. He was accommodating. The entrance to moulin rouge was a breeze, thanks to him. And we have excellent seats for the show. The Manager at Moulin Rouge welcomed us and was extremely friendly to my daughter. I had my 6yo daughter, and although it was a bit too late for her, she had a fantastic time.

The boat trip and Moulin Rouge are great, what is not is the poor organisation and amount of waiting around. For a 5 hour event you are standing around for 2 hours. When it is zero degrees it makes this a very unpleasant experience. You are asked to meet 45 mins before a 10 min walk so those who turn up in heels for a night out have to struggle across the cobbles to get to the boat. Then queue. Boat trip is fab but the bus driver was 25 mins late for the pick up which made everyone stand in cold and meant a frantic discussion at Moulin Rouge to let us in. The show is amazing.

We arrived at the meeting point to be waiting for an excessive 40 minutes before walking to the Seine river cruise. The meeting point was far away from the Seine river cruise leading to lots of complaints from others as no one was prepared to be walking that far for the excursion. After the river cruise we waited 50 minutes for the transfer to the moulins rouge show. This never turned up so at 8.45pm we had to seek alternative transportation so as not too miss the show entirely. This cost us. When we arrived at the show we had to squeeze past other guests due to being late. When the show arrived we were again advised the bus would be late due to the whole night being impacted because of the drivers lateness. This meant that we were standing around in the cold for a further 40 minutes for the bus to arrive. Everyone sought out alternative ways to go back to their accommodation due to the waiting around. The customers going to the later version of moulin rouge were told directly infront of us that they were late also and that it did not matter as their seats were already reserved. This is not the case. Seats are just sought after when you arrive. This has had a huge impact upon our stage in Paris and has definitely made us seek using alternative booking methods in future. Upon trying to speak to someone from Viator I kept being asked the same questions. One advisor told me I would receive a full refund and another has told me differently. I was receiving messages back and forth till 2am this morning. I will be seeking further advise for this service.

Great show and seats but complete pandemonium getting seated and queuing at moulin rouge. The river cruise was okay but again very busy and a battle to get on the boat.

We had an 8:15 meeting time and I would caution that there few places in the area to get food before and there is no food at the show. The meeting place is NO where near the boat, it is quite a walk, that is dark, crowded and slippery for us, which was hard because we had an older person in our group. We eventually boarded the boat but the recorded commentary was horrible. It did not point out what you were seeing and had a lot of down time. It seemed like they were trying to make it a story but they missed the mark. Once the boat ride was over we had to walk again and get the bus. It was a bit nerve wracking trying to be sure we got to the bus, again in the dark and it was wet with no guidance. Thankfully we made it to Moulin Rouge. It was crowded and there was a lot of waiting but it was worth it. The show was fantastic! The dancing was incredible and the acrobatic performances between the numbers were incredible. The talent was amazing. I would highly recommend the show for sure but not the other parts of this tour.

The show at Moulin Rouge was great (10/10), but I would not suggest booking this through Viator, just book direct. The whole boat cruise and transportation leading up to the show was awful. Standing around for hours waiting for others and going on a seriously sub par boat cruise with no option to even purchase drinks was not what I signed up for. Don’t book this tour.
