What To Expect

Seeing the Eiffel Tower at night was magical. I was nervous cause it's much taller looking in person. But we still had a nice time.

We have enjoyed all of our tours in Paris but this one. The elevators breakdown and the skip the line does not save you from a line to get on the elevator to go up and then the line to get on the elevator to go down again. Also paid to go to the top, but that elevator was broke and we were not able to go. The reachable level was an observation deck and ALLOT of gift shops. I kinda felt like we paid and waited in line to go to the Eiffel tower gift shop. The Effiel tower is amazing to see, but you can it from the ground and the best view of it is from the ground. I have enjoyed all the other tours we have taken here in Paris, but honestly I would suggest just going to see it for free, from the ground.

The tower was closed due to national strikes in France which were announced on the day. The tour guide, Camille, was lively and entertaining and it’s a shame we couldn’t enjoy her company with the group for longer. We are expecting the full refund as Camille stated to us all.

First thing we did the afternoon we arrived in Paris. Justine, our guide, was awesome and gave us so much great information and stories about different landmarks we could see from the tower. Viator never emailed me to tell me that my tour was canceled. Our group as well as multiple others waited outside for our tour guide and wasted our precious and minimal time in Paris. Upon calling when we realized that our tour guide was no longer present, the phone operator at first had no idea why the tour guide was “running late” only to return that the tour was canceled and that we should’ve received confirmation. I have saved all emails and correspondence from Viator and actually received a confirmation text for location and time of the tour less than 24 hours before we were supposed to meet. I am disappointed in the service I’ve received and will be searching for other companies on future trips.
