Traveler Tips

It is also very difficult to contact Viator when there is an issue unless you make an account with them.
Skipping the long line is a must and having a guide give you the background and history is very helpful.
Get ready for the crowds but worth all the haste.

Miserable experience-won’t be using again
Barre_B, Mar 2023
We got to the louvre over an hour before our tour time. We tried to find the place where we could redeem our $150.00 voucher for 2 tickets. It did not exist or we could not find where maps said it should be. We asked the louvre people where the Viator tour was to start. No one knew anything about the tour. To make a long agonizing story short we never got our voucher redeemed and we had to pay 30 Euros to walk around unguided in the louvre. My $150 paid to Viatorwas money down the toilet. I will never Book with them again. One of the ticket guys told us that this happens all the time with Viator.

Guide walked us through the michangelo exhibit on our way to the Mona lisa and then he left us, unless you wanted to pay an addl 50 euro for another hour..his commentary was basically inaudible, and quite frankly he was hard to follow through the just seems a lot to pay for basically avoiding the lines..
A good way to see Louvre without the hassles

My group wanted to experience the Louvre in a minimal amount of time since we were not staying long in Paris. Our tour guide was excellent, hit the high points and guided us through the entry maze.
Great Louvre visit!

The guide was super knowledgeable and passionate about the museum and the collection. Skipping the line was also amazing. Only negative was the crowds, which is unavoidable.
Nice little history lesson for a short tour

There was massive strike and transport basically crippled. We suppose to meet 2:15 but I only reach 2:30. The organiser so kind and waited. The guide is a good story teller and she took good care of us
The tour & guide...

The tour & guide (Manuela) was great, very informative. With so many people couldn’t imagine do it on our own. Meeting point was a bit confusing. Address given led us on a goose chase as the arc du carousel was covered for restoration.
The Guide didn’t...

The Guide didn’t accompany with us for some moments because she didn’t bring her documents at the museum

Donna_L, Mar 2023
This was an outstanding experience. We purchased the 3 hour tour with skip the line access and what a difference it made. We met up with our tour guide and meet up location, which was a little difficult to find in the beginning. We were late finding the group, however, our guide waited. The team at Viator (email/messenger) we’re on it. They were determined to help me locate the group and experience this excursion. We the entered the Louvre through a separate entryway for groups. AMAZING! Why? The line outside is a mile long. We then toured the museum and our tour guide was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. There is not a piece we crossed that she could not speak to.

Well worth it

- Very efficient and the guide was friendly and informative - Should make clear to all participants, however, that they do NOT get a personal ticket, which can make it tricky to navigate the different floors and wings without going thru security
