Our guide, Michelle, was fantastic! She shared a wealth of knowledge about both Giverny and Versailles, and had a delightful sense of humor. Giverny was heavenly.

As a fan of Monet and Impressionism in general I wanted to see the gardens that inspired Monet in person. It did not disappoint but likely required an affection for that type of art. Our guide Oliver was an expert on Versailles. He gave an in depth description of the purpose of all the art and the structure of the Chateau itself. His knowledge was encyclopedic and he brought it to life. In between the visit to Fourges Restaurant in the French countryside for lunch was an unexpected bonus.

Had the most wonderful day. Our guide Michelle has an amazing breathe of knowledge and energy. We were guided through and then left to enjoy on our own. Giver y is wonderful to walk and be inspired. Lunch was at a marvelous inn in a beautiful countryside then on to Versailles…. Ornate as promised and full of history. Michelle took us through the palace with much insight then guided us to the gardens… once there we were on our own for an hour to enjoy the setting, enormity and since it was Sunday we had the music. Just a wonderful day!
nice day trip

really nice day tour, we loved Giverny! guide did a good job. Versailles is beautiful This tour makes it easy to see both sights in one day, which works great if you have a packed itinerary.
Wonderful day trip from Paris
Elizabeth_P, Oct 2022
Minibus your to Giverny and Versailles fantastic way to travel. Bus driver Julie and your guide Christopher were excellent. Money’s home and gardens are outstanding. Versailles is incredible. Good amount of time at Giverny, lunch was delicious and at a beautiful country location. We enjoyed talking with our tour mates at lunch. Versailles felt a bit rushed. Only 2 hours for palace and garden 3 hours would have been better. Overall very highly recommend this day trip. Very well done.

Giverny and Versailles
Amy_C, Sep 2022
Trip was as expected and had a great time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave his very best to provide much information. I would suggest with an English speaking group that a guide is provided who is easy to understand. It was very difficult to catch all that our guide was saying as English was not even his second language. Lunch was adequate. Lovely place to stop but food was not to my liking.

Don’t get tired! Private tours are the way to go
Ruben_s, Aug 2022
Private tours is a must-do when traveling to popular places. You won’t make a line, won’t wait, will have personalized information and will have a better experience! Versailles is CROWDED!!! and waiting in line before walking the humongous castle and gardens can be a daunting task, so if you can skip the long lines, do it. The Giverny house is breathtakingly beautiful. Is a worthily tour!
Truly a wonderful experience!!!
jenperry625, Aug 2022
We had a phenomenal experience going to Giverny's House/Gardens and Versailles. I think it is so important to note how wonderful our tour guide, Christophe, was. He was so knowledgeable about Monet and Versailles alike and was able to give us a personalized experience. We were in a group of 8 and took a nice 9 seater van to each place. Monet's house and gardens were simply beautiful. There are just so many flowers, and we learned that along with the Japanese gardens, Monet had one of the biggest collections of Japanese art. The house was a mix of whimsical and historic - very cool to see. We had lunch at a picturesque restaurant, Le Moulin de Fourges. We were served three courses, each better than the next. If I remember correctly, they started with a pate of three fish, then chicken and scalloped potatoes, and finally an apple tarte. There was local red and white wine available, along with bread and water (both still and sparkling). We did not have much time left after lunch, but the restaurant does have fun games, such as giant Jenga and giant chess, on the grounds to play. After lunch, we finished the day at Versailles. Christophe went and got us our tickets and audio sets (to listen to his narration), and was able to get us ahead of one of those gigantic Viking cruise groups. Again, Christophe knew so much and was able to share great facts about the main rooms. Every room there was just wonderful - crazy to see all of the gold and detail that went into each and every room (and the shear cost of it all!). When torrential rain threatened to ruin the end of our day, Christophe was able to bring us to a cafe to fuel up and keep warm. Then, we visited the gardens very briefly before leaving for the day. Overall, I would highly recommend doing this as a small group experience as you will truly get a personalized tour at each location.
Great tour...bad lunch...guide spoke poor English
Brian_R, Aug 2022
The tour itself was wonderful and a must see. Our guide did not speak English well so I would make sure you confirm you have a good speaking guide. He was wonderful but not yet ready to do American tour. I would skip the lunch because it takes away from Versailles and you could eat there and who wants minced fish and Apple Pie in France anyhow. I loved the small group and highly recommend the same. We did not have enough time in Versailles and also would have liked to know about the rental golf carts and train that would have allowed us to see more. Our guide was such a nice nice man but we wanted to be able to understand and it felt as though it was too soon for him to be on an English speaking tour which was such a downer.
Monet memories
Wendy_L, Aug 2022
Very nice small group of 9 of us lead by a pleasant and knowledgeable guide, Michelle! Enjoyed gardens and home of Monet as well as lunch with group conversations at the mill more than crowds of Versailles.
Excellent Tour of Giverny’s House and Versailles
Rebecca_M, Aug 2022
Excellent tour!!!! We highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience both Giverny’s House and Versailles in one day.
Lunch was fantastic!
Megan_C, Jul 2022
Great tours, lunch was amazing, a little hard to hear the guide clearly through the headsets, her mask might have been the problem! But overall fantastic your company, would reccomend! They went above and beyond navigating us through all the road closures due to the Tour de France!
Best tour ever!
Amy_L, Jul 2022
Michele was the most wonderful guide! She was knowledgeable and gave us just the right amount Of information about Monet, Versailles, Giverny and sights along the way. The day was long but well-paced and comfortable. The vehicle was comfortable and lunch was absolutely perfect (they accommodated our vegan diets easily and upon request). This was by far the best guided tour I’ve ever had and would say it was worth every penny.
Enlightening and enjoyable
Christine_G, Jul 2022
Felt a bit rushed at both venues. Definitely need a whole day each. Commentary was very good. Having a small group is certainly the way to go. Ricardo was very good.
If you have limited time and want to see both Giverny and Versailles…
Hannah_B, Jul 2022
Clearly if you are booking this trip you are well aware you’re doing a lot for one day. We definitely had plenty of time at Giverny to walk the gardens, see Monet’s home, and walk through town to the church where he was buried. Lunch was nice - the setting was superior to the food. Versailles was far more rushed: one hour guided tour inside and one hour at the gardens. We were so tired and it was so hot (we visited during a heat wave) that we didn’t care that we didn’t have a lot of time to explore but if seeing a lot of Versailles is a priority then you should do a day solely for that. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
Great experience!
Leanna_S, Jul 2022
Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! For this type of excursion, it was perfect to have somebody to help us navigate everything. Beautiful sights and lovely people on the tour!
