Overview

Get the authentic French culinary experience with a small-group cooking class in a private Parisian apartment. Head to the centrally-located home and get ready to learn — and eat! Meet your local chef instructor, gather ingredients on an optional market tour, and discover the fundamentals of preparing classic French dishes such as soufflé, cod mouclade, and chocolate fondant. Then prepare and savor delicious dishes with fellow food lovers.

Chef Fred was simply amazing! He took us through a local outdoor market where we planned the menu for the day. He was great at explaining different techniques and very patient as we practiced ourselves. The final meal was absolutely delicious, one of our best meals while in Paris.

All of it! Myriam’s humor made for a delightful addition to the instruction and hands-on efforts! The trip to the market was punctuated by additional and individual tastes and purchases. Her apartment was beautiful and offered a panoramic view of her neighborhood and beyond. A wonderful day!

Myriam is gracious, tres experienced, knowledgeable and professional ! We found this class to be intimate and challenging ( in a good way). The back stories of the recipes and their origins in particular the the Basque région are complex and lent dimension and depth to our culinary experience ! The Oaxaca incredible ! Miriam’s taste and aesthetic are exquisite ! Her space is epic! Myriam’s story is fascinating and inspiring! We think she should have a Cooking show or possibly a cool utube channel ! My niece and I had a great time. The shopping experience was fun and the food we prepared was fantastic. There were only 4 of us. I would have enjoyed doing more of the prep/cooking work.

Meeting Chef Frédéric and immediately feeling at ease removed any concerns about my first cooking class. His knowledge, enthusiasm and experience is exceptional! Myriam created a wonderful cooking experience! The trip to the market was fascinating as she taught us a lot about unique ingredients from across France. Cooking in her apartment was a great collaborative experience as we created a three course lunch together and learned a lot of important cooking techniques. I would sign up again for this experience.

We had a wonderful time cooking with Chef Myriam! First, we visited a market where we picked up supplies for our meal. Myriam taught us about the fresh produce, desserts, and other items that can be found at the market. We then cooked and ate a three course lunch, which was delicious. Overall, we learned a ton and had a lot of fun. Would recommend this class to anyone looking for an authentic French cooking experience!

We had a great experience with Chef Myriam! She told us all about why we were using certain techniques through the prep for all three courses, the origin of our main course, and had a great balance of demonstrating and letting us try it ourselves. Myriam’s space was very clean and she made sure to make us feel comfortable and welcome the whole time. I would do it again for sure!

DONT GO !!The chef was rude to everyone, said racist comments, snobby, disrespectful and didn’t accommodate for my allergies. My partner and I ended up leaving early because of the comments she made about Asian people and us while we were cooking. She even took it to the level of snatching things from people and aggressively grabbing their arms. She also licked her fingers and stir the food we were supposed to eat without even washing her hands. Her name was mar? something , I say save your money and time. I’m very surprised she still has a job

We had a lovely mid-day class with Myriam. She was a delightful teacher and made French cuisine - easy and approachable. Her years of experience at a Michelin 2 Star restaurant were demonstrated with a humble, straightforward manner and our lunch was gourmet! This was a highlight for us and is highly recommended!

Visiting the outdoor market with Chef Fred was great! Quality of seafood, vegetables, etc. was amazing. The menu Fred prepared was easy to follow and delicious. It was fun to talk to him and learn little tips and tricks of cooking too. I had a wonderful day!

Deflating, Time Waste, No Involvement. Definitely don't bring anyone under the age of 25. Or don't book at all.

I have attempted to submit my review of the Small-Group French Cooking Class TWICE, and each time Viator/TripAdvisor will not allow me to submit. So, I am putting my review in an email: This experience was hard to call a class at all. The instructor, Miriam, allowed minimal-to-no hands-on cooking or involvement from the students (3 adults and 2 children). In my booking, I was explicit that I had two children (8 and 9) joining me and that although they are "young," they are proficient in the kitchen. For the duration of the class, she would only allow my daughter to mix some flour and my son to roll ten balls of dough -- that was it. For a THREE HOUR class! My kids were not only disappointed and bored, but were frankly made to feel like prisoners in her home. She would not allow them to touch anything, she scolded them when they dropped their small Lego toys (which thank the lord I thought to pack!) on her floor, nor would she allow them to sit on her couch. By the end of the class, the kids felt shamed, bored, and let-down completely by the experience. I spent a fortune to have an entire, precious morning wasted. We have traveled endlessly, have lived in 6 different countries, have had several cooking classes and other various experiences -- This was by far and away the WORST class we've had. I wish I could take that time back and give my children a positive, educational experience.
