The driver was very courteous, and the service (door-to-door pick-up and drop-off) was prompt and efficient. The scenery around Giverny is breathtaking, and Monet's house is an icon of brilliance, beauty and dedicated labor. I have traveled across the world, but seldom have I seen anything more beautiful.

The visit to Giverny was magical. gardens were lovely even at the end of October. Great to leave Paris early to beat the crowds that arrive later in the morning…Know what you are buying: hotel pickup, driver to Giverny, a ticket to the house/grounds, a ride back and drop off at our hotel. This is not a guided visit…We loved it. Very happy.

This trip was wonderful. We had an amazing driver, who talked to us about Paris as we drove through it, and then also showed us an informative video about Giverny. We were given enough time at Monet's house to look at everything--the astounding gardens, the lake with its water lilies, the house itself with more art. I felt like I was given an opportunity for a deeper understanding of Monet, his times, and also the other Impressionists. I cherished our time in Giverny.

What a great way to see this amazing place. We were taken by minibus from Paris for the 1hr trip to Giverny. Our driver was so helpful and courteous. The short video on the minibus very informative and we thoroughly enjoyed our half day trip. Highly recommend.

The driver was prompt taking us to Giverny and getting us to the correct entrance at Monet’s Gardens and home. He was also very prompt picking us up for our return trip to Paris. This tour was a highlight, if not the favorite of our trip.

We were there the first week of October and I was afraid things would not be in bloom but it was still very lush and beautiful. Note this trip included a round-trip ride to and from your hotel and entrance tickets. It does not include a guided tour. There were eight of us in the minivan. There are a couple gift shops on site and a cute café.

Driver was punctual and gave us ample time to explore Monet’s garden and it’s surroundings. Video shown on-board was very clear and he corrected parts of the video that was outdated. We got there early enough before the huge crowds arrived. Overall it was a nice and pleasant day. Merci.

Gaslighted in Giverny

Tour driver picked up 1 couple. Left us sitting there. Unable to get a response from tour operator on Whats App, email, phone or through the reservation for over 45 minutes. In total we were left stranded with no communication for over an hour. When driver showed up he tried to blame us, saying we were not on time, even though we saw him leave with other couple. Great visit - lousy tour operator!

A wonderful opportunity to see what Monet created and how it inspired him. This tour is well worth it because without a driver it would be a complicated and time consuming (train, bus, walk) event to get to Giverny. Having Frédérique drive us was a treat. He was very thoughtful and knowledgeable. He talked to us about the highlights of the city as he drove through and gave restaurant recommendations, etc. He showed a video in the car which gave some background and he knew a lot about Monet and French history. There is plenty of time to walk around the pond, gardens, house and gift shop. Take the opportunity to walk down the street toward the other galleries and to the establishment where Monet and his friends would stay and gather together. It’s like a walk back in time. On our way back, Frédérique drove through the Arc de Triomphe which was an exciting surprise. Also, I was impressed with the email/text confirmations and they were right on time. It’s nice to be in a small van (8 tourists max) so we felt safer than being on a bigger tour bus.

Disappointing experience

The driver did not pick us up. The Viator representative could not contact him to find out where he was. We missed the Giverny experience even though we had booked and paid for it. Very disappointing. Will not use Viator again.

The Fabulous Home and Gardens of Monet

Were were a group of four adults who love taking pictures so we really loved this tour. Our driver was also so informative and personable. The grounds were absolutely stunning and even going through the home with so many other visitors was still really memorable. There are also little shops and restaurants in the village and we had some time to explore a little. A day we won't forget!
