Your meeting point is at the Arc du Carousel. The Arc du Carousel (a triumphal arch) is located inside the Place du Carousel, standing between the Louvre Pyramid and the Tuileries Gardens. When facing the Arc du Carousel, with the Louvre pyramid behind you, there are two winged female statues in front of the Arch. The meeting point is located at the left statue (southern end of square). Your guide will be holding a Walks sign. Meeting Point Directions: Arriving by taxi: Ask your driver to drop you off at Arc du Carousel of the Louvre, 75001 Paris. When facing the Arc du Carousel, with the Louvre pyramid behind you, there are two winged female statues in front of the Arch. Meet at the left statue (southern end of square). Your guide will be holding a Walks sign. French directions for taxi driver: “Je dois aller à l’Arc du Carousel du Louvre, merci.” Arriving by Metro: Metro station Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre, Line 1 and 7. Follow the sign "sortie" (exit). Take the exit “sortie #1” named "Passage Richelieu.” Cross the street and take the corridor "Passage Richelieu" to reach the Louvre courtyard. When facing the Arc du Carousel, with the Louvre pyramid behind you, there are two winged female statues in front of the Arch. Meet at the left statue (southern end of square). Your guide will be holding a Walks sign.

Because the Louvre is so crowded and has long lines to enter, its best to get a skip the line tour to take you around, and given that the museum is so massive, its really timesaving.

We saw the Mona Lisa first , it's a quick glance so be ready, have a plan.

The bottom line: Ask for Empress Josephine for your guide , you can't do any better.

Above and beyond, an amazing tour that totally exceeded our expectations!

We had 4 family members in this small tour group of 16. The tour of the Louvre far exceeded our expectations. It was highly informative, engaging, and well organized. We learned a lot more than expected, with our guide (Daniel) being knowledgable, enthusiastic, and presenting lots of information in a way that kept all of us very interested in everything he explained to us: the history of the museum, context of how the art was connected to historical events of France, along with the important aspects of the highlighted artworks. After 2 hours, all of us were extraordinary impressed and would have been happy if the tour could have been 2 hours longer.

Myself and my 15 year old son did this tour with Adam and we both said it was one of the highlights of our trip! Adam is so passionate about the Louvre and he made the tour fun and interesting. He kept us engaged for the whole two hours and honestly I could have kept going. We were hanging on his every word! I will be recommending his tour to anyone I know who is travelling to Paris.

Our tour guide, Carolina, was so knowledgeable about the artwork in the Louve. The two hours flew by as we looked at and learned about the changes in sculpture and painting characteristics over time. She told stories about the artwork that made it come to life. We did see the Mona Lisa, which was nice, but found ourselves more fascinated by so much more. It was a wonderful experience, and we'd choose it again.

Hugo was our tour guide and he led a well-planned and enthusiastic tour! He started the tour by getting to know everyone in the group. Communication was good as to what we were to expect. After entering the Louvre, we secured our jackets and had an opportunity to use the toilet. The tour started with a history of the Louvre itself. This was followed by learning about the 3 ‘divas’ with excellent details about each. Hugo also had a ‘photo spot’ where he took our photos so we can have a special group picture. We had a bonus fourth Diva before the tour concluded. Hugo has a passion for art and it is shared in is engaging narratives. He also had music to accompany the art works. Caring details were added to the tour.

This outing on September 14th had a rocky start but also a happy ending. The original guide was sick and couldn't make the tour so there was no one to greet us. There was also confusion over the meeting place since none of the locals or employees in that area knew the small park across the street from the museum is referred to as "carrousel" on certain maps. We asked around in both fluent French and English. Luckily, after interacting with customer service for 2 hours, we finally spoke with Abi who understood and fixed everything for us. Abi earned 5 stars. Anatol, who lead our tour, also earned 5 stars. The tour was fun and educational. It was wonderful to skip the lines.
