AMAZING!! If this is your first (and potentially only) time to Versailles - spend the money and do this tour! We first had contact with our guide, Gustav, about a week before to confirm details, which was really nice and reassuring for our group - grandma, the five-year-old, and four adults. He reached out again the day before to confirm one more time, then arrived on time for our adventure to begin! Gustav navigated us through Paris then to Versailles with the ease and precision only a local has - and without it, the tourists would have been overwhelmed. He knew exactly where to park and we got to it! From here, Gustav's knowledge of Versailles was abundant! It wasn't just the French side of things either. He knew the story behind the story as it pertains to the marriages, other countries influence, allegiances, the wars - all of it! The way he shared these stories was conversational and not at all like listening to a lecture. We ended the day with a safe and easy ride back to our hotel where we parted ways after a wonderful afternoon. To sum it up, Gustav made this tour what it was for us. It was phenomenal. HIGHLY recommeneded!

Knowledgeable and caring guide. Hotel pickup and return ran smoothly. Guide got a wheelchair for my husband and pushed him the entire time. Knew his history not only of Very but other landmarks along the way.

Joseph, our tour guide was amazing! He was very knowledgeable on everything about Versailles and made it interesting. He was prepared to show us photos and back stories regarding the palace and the people. We all agreed that we wished he could have joined us for dinner! Exceptional experience!

We were so thankful to Gustavo for a truly lovely and insightful experience. We were in awe at the beauty of Versailles, but taken away by its history. Gustavo had so much knowledge of the Kings, the families, and even guests of the palace. We felt like we were part of history. Gustavo was funny and kept us engaged. The pickup was smooth, the drive was beautiful - there is no better way to see the Palace. I would highly recommend this private your. The half day is also perfect amount of time to do and learn it all.

I was picked up from my hotel on time and taken to Versailles by car. Gustav was very helpful as he adapted the tour as I use a mobility scooter. The Tour was very informative and I learned a lot.

Guide was knowledgeable but he hurried through everything. He showed little consideration for older members of the group who struggled to keep up. With this guide, not a tour for those unfit to walk at a very fast pace. He wouldn’t slow down for us to take photos of the beautiful property. Not the best tour guide.

Gustavo took us to all the parts of Versailles and it’s magnificent gardens that we wished to see. He shared so much information and do much context for the lives of those in and around the palace.
