Fantastic Tour of Versailles

This was an amazing experience! My mother is mobility challenged (has difficulty walking long distances and maneuvering steps) so I was worried it would be difficult for her in her wheelchair, however, our fantastic guide, Frederic, was incredibly helpful and sympathetic. Besides picking us up at our hotel in a very clean Mercedes van, he catered to our every need, knew exactly where to go to get our wheelchair around, and even helped push my mother in the wheelchair! Frederic was very knowledgeable and provided detailed stories about the history of the palace and the royals who lived there. He even drove us past the Arc de Triomphe, down the Champs Elysees, and past the Petit Palais on the way back to our hotel at tour’s end! I would recommend this tour to anyone and would recommend Frederic above all for his outstanding guidance and compassion with which he does his job!

Excellent Tour

This tour of Versailles Palace provided pleasant and easy access to the Palace and grounds. Our guide, Gustave, not only was articulate, knowledgeable, and extremely informative (provided interesting information on the historical & economic conditions of the time periods), but he was also a pleasant companion for the day. My husband and I highly recommend this tour and this guide for a comprehensive day tour of the Versailles complex.

Fantastic Tour Guide!

I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Kevin, was knowledgeable and charming. He picked us up at our hotel and we did not have to do anything except enjoy the day! It was truly a skip the line experience. We went right in upon arriving. Kevin explained everything that we saw. Afterwards we went to see the Petit Trianon and walked the grounds. Kevin told us stories and anecdotes and took us to see Marie's grotto. We would never have seen all of these hidden treasures and heard the stories on our own. It was a very enjoyable experience indeed!

Not cheap but well worth the price. Our guide was on time at the front door of our hotel. He explained the history while driving us to Versailles. Best of all was his ability to explain it all without going into any academic details. We skipped the lines and had a great tour of the palace. He pointed us to a great place for lunch and repositioned the car so that we would not have to backtrack after viewing the gardens. If you want a compact, easy and relaxing but at the same time comprehensive view of a fantastic palace then this is the way to go.

Incredible! It was well worth the money. The convenience of being picked up at my hotel, a full-day tour, lunch, and access to areas not usually open was beyond compare . Plus, the fact that a general strike was in effect and no one was there was great! The guide's knowledge of Versailles, history and art history increased the pleasure. I highly recommend this tour!
