What To Expect

Meet your guide for either your morning or afternoon Versailles tour in central Paris. Climb into the comfortable air-conditioned coach for the drive to Versailles.

The Palace of Versailles was originally built as a relatively modest hunting retreat for Louis XIII in 1623, but his successor—Louis XIV—expanded it and turned it into the symbol of luxury and extravagance that we know today. The palace we see today was completed in 1710, and remains one of the most famous palaces in Europe.

When you arrive, walk past the queues with your guide thanks to your skip-the-line access. Follow along as your guide walks you through the Royal Apartments where the King and Queen of France, Louis XIV, and Marie Antoinette once spent the majority of their time.

Visit the apartments of the Dauphin and Dauphine—the heirs apparent to the throne. See the various drawing rooms, private studies, and bed chambers where the royal family once lived, and imagine what life might have been like for them in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Continue to one of the most photographed parts of Versailles, the Hall of Mirrors, built in 1678. Look around as your guide explains its most important features. The Hall of Mirrors leads from the Royal Apartments to the Salon de la Guerre and the Salon de la Paix.

At the conclusion of your palace tour, enjoy some free time to explore the gardens at your leisure. Walk through the perfect gardens, studded with statues and sculptures, and admire the incredible fountains. On Saturday nights in the summer, those fountain displays are set to music that dates from the time of Louis XIV’s court for a memorable visual and auditory experience.

After your free time in the Versailles garden, rejoin your guide at the appointed location to climb back into the coach for the return drive to Paris.

Please note: Visits on the first Sunday of every month will be unguided, and you will be provided with an audio guide.

The protests in France delayed us and limited our time, but the tour guide was incredible!!! Definitely recommend since the protests were outside the tours ability to prevent.

It was too cold. The guide should have allowed us to stay in the bus, instead we were left to wait for about 1,5 hours in the freezing cold. In addition the bus was late to leave for about an hour. Palace is nice but experience is not worth the money or the hassle.

Great introduction to Versailles! Although it did a bit rushed since it was a half day tour. They did give some time to visit the gardens and get something to eat, but you do need to spend a lot more time if you want to see it all, as well as the gardens. Nonetheless, it was a great first time!

Was super easy finding the meeting point, comfortable bus ride, plenty of time to tour the gardens after, but the tour itself through the palace felt super rushed. I didn’t get as much history and knowledge as I had hoped for. I would listen in on other tour groups leaders and their guide seemed super informed and shared so many interested facts. I felt like our tour guide rushed us through all the rooms when we got to the end we were told we couldn’t go back to see things again. We had to go to the gardens for the next hour, or kill time before departure. Wish our tour guide was a bit more knowledgeable and took her time explaining things rather than breeze through. Only thing I did really enjoy was not having to worry about transportation or tickets to get in. You just followed the leader, which always makes things simpler.

The tour guide was terribly rude. They had made a mistake with the ticket purchase. For the group, so she didn’t have enough adult tickets. She literarily snatched the adult ticket we had paid for from my collegiate’s hand and handed her a child ticket. When I told her she couldn’t do that, she snapped at me and asked if we wanted to stay outside and not enter. It is inconceivable how she thought we should be ok with her putting us in a position that can be outright dangerous since a child ticket would be illegal for an adult. Luckily they didn’t check the ticket. After we entered the museum, she returned and snatched the ticket from my daughter’s hand and handed her an adult ticket (to satisfy me) of course she had the wrong ticket because I had swapped with my daughter for safety reasons. She never apologized.

Worst service , app is not worked unable to get the guide contact , we are there in meeting point unable to find the guide , the guide also not contact us , finally we missed the spot and wasted the money. Worst service again
