This tour was truly a highlight of our trip! Riding a bike is the best way to see a majority of the grounds. Nico, our tour guide was excellent! He was personable, funny, and knowledgeable. We loved stopping at the market and buying food and drinks for our picnic. The setting for the picnic was perfect and it was nice to enjoy the day and take it easy. I highly recommend this tour if you are going to Versailles! It’s great for first timers and people like me who have been there before, but didn’t get to see it all. Everything was fantastic!

Amazing tour!

Joe was our guide and he did an excellent job explaining the history of Versailles and guiding us through the town. The stop at the markets was really fun- we found some amazing strawberries and charcuterie and had a lovely picnic by the gardens. Really fun day! I recommend this to anyone who wants to see the best of Versailles!

Best way to tour Versailles!

This tour was a 10/10! Our guide Eleanor was knowledgeable, engaging and all around fun. Touring the palace, the grounds and the town of Versailles on bikes was perfect. Our visit to the Queen’s Hamlet (which only 2% of Versailles visitors see) was the end of a wonderful day. Tips: bring water!!! Bring a bag for your visit to the market for the picnic lunch!! The bike ride is pretty easy for all levels of riders. Amazing day!

Everyone that comes to Paris needs to book the Versailles bike tour!! It is a great way to see the city, explore one of the most iconic places in history, and have a beautiful Parisian lunch in the Versailles gardens from a fresh local market. I’ve done this tour twice now because it is so amazing, and I highly highly recommend everyone do it! If you book the tour, ask for Emily, who is incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and made the experience unforgettable!

Daniel was a great tour guide. We had rain so we were not able to purchase food at the market and picnic as originally planned but we still went to the market for the experience and then ate on our own at a restaurant. Riding a bike around the neighborhood and Versaille made the experience a lot of fun coupled with the viewing of the gardens, etc. (not experienced by most on a Versaille tour). Bikes were in great order and safety was addressed. All in all I'd say our tour was a 4 out of 5 only due to rain and not having our picnic by the canal (not Daniel). Cheese tasting was a disappointment due to the small amount of tasting only. Highly recommend this tour. Cheers

This was one of our favorite tours while in Paris. Versailles is breathtakingly beautiful. Our guide Marijje was amazing. She was full of so much information and history for the city. She was very accommodating on the bikes and did a great job managing 12 people on bikes. Would 10 out of 10 recommend this trip. The company emailed me as soon as I booked with information. They also sent an email prior to my tour.

First I must say that we had the most awesome guide… Niko. Who is a walking encyclopedia of French history. He provided detailed explanations in each room of the palace then we toured the grounds. The Tour was a combination of biking, walking and eating. We biked 7 miles, walked 3.5 miles. We biked into town and went to a market where everyone bought their lunch. Biked back to the palace grounds where had a very nice picnic lunch along the fountain pools on the grounds…Train ride back to Paris👍🏻

The best parts were…. all of it! Loved the bike ride through the gardens, the guided tour of the palace, and Marie Antoinette’s gardens. The trip through the market and the picnic by the Grand Canal were additional bonuses. Claudio was a wonderful guide, and gave enough information to keep us wondering what palace intrigue he would explain next! Very easygoing, fun, and a delight to spend the afternoon with.

Niko was the best guide ever! Generally shy away from Guided tours but this was so well worth it. He was super knowledgeable about the history but has a great sense of humor and made the whole trip fantastic. Everything was very well organized - meetup at the train station, quick train ride on a fast train, pick up bikes at the Versailles train station and off we went. Long day but the picnic lunch was wonderful. Highly recommend this!

The whole organization is fantastic. Claudio our guide was exceptional, interesting, excitable and incredibly well organized. We covered so much ground, so many sites, and explored history and never ever felt rushed. We took advantage of the Tuesday open market and shopped for our picnic along the Versailles Grand Canal. What an amazing experience!

What a FABULOUS experience! Dina was our guide and she was engaging and fun. We are a family of four and our 16 yr old daughter was a little less confident biking through the main part of town and Dina did a great job of helping her. It was drizzly most of the day (the weather was really not great) and we had some reservations about a bike trip and a picnic in the rain but somehow despite all that it was one of our highlights on our trip to Paris! So fun! There was plenty of time for relaxation yet we covered a lot of territory. Would highly recommend this tour!!

Wonderful experience, I would highly recommend this unique way to explore the town & market of Versailles & the Versailles palace, canal & gardens to anyone who is able to ride a bicycle. Alice was our guide for the day & she was very friendly, fun, courteous & extremely knowledgeable. The picnic lunch on the banks of the canal, with the food we bought at the Versailles market earlier in the day, was a great touch & an added bonus. After all, it’s not everyday you get to sit & have your lunch at Versailles while admiring Louis XIV’s grand creation in person.

The BBT might be a little more expensive, it was worth it. The entire Versailles experience was very memorable, thanks to a great guide Nico. Mentioned by other reviews as well. He is helpful, funny and friendly and he made the French history easy to understand and be appreciated. What could be improved on would be the bike seats, it’s hard and uncomfortable after a while.

The reason for this is that we are the only bike tour in Versailles where our guides are professional licensed guides - this means that they can guide you throughout all of Versailles including inside the Château, as well as skipping the lines using a separate dedicated guide’s entrance. Finally, we believe another big difference is our group size, which is a maximum of 12 guests, rather than 15-25. Thank you for your feedback on the bike seat which is useful to us, we are actually now in the process of replacing our current seats with comfort saddles for full comfort - a good excuse to join us again back in Paris in the future! The team that runs this tour is hands down, the best group. The tour guides are very knowledgeable, personable, and truly love the job they do. I experienced an air bnb crisis in the middle of the tour and the team worked with me and my bnb host to resolve the issue, provided me with multiple options, and I was able to return to the tour! Lola, Stu, and Nikki are the best and when I return to Paris, I will look for more of their tours!!

The best tour if you want a complete day at Palace of Versailles, having fun with the bikes, a lot of pertinent information. The guides are a great couple, very organized, excellent attitude. We didn't have to pass through any lines, they know the exact times for avoiding heavily touristy "time zones", but still get to see everything in the palace. And the cherry on top... the picnic, with a great view of the Palace. Definitively recommended.

An experience of a lifetime!

I don't even know where to begin… what a wonderful, magical, fun, lifetime experience. We are not ones that normally venture out and do "Group activities" or tours with groups. However, we were traveling with some friends and decided this could be "interesting.".... Humbly reminded every day that we know nothing!!!! This was more than interesting… We are so grateful to have the wonderful tour guide that we had. She was passionate and filled with such a beautiful life! Her personality was infectious. It was an honor to share space with her on this 10-hour tour! Yes, we worked for this experience… But it was worth every second! We will never forget the store. Thank you so much for the experience!

Memorable day in Versailles

Niki and Stu are super fun and organized and tech have the tour down to a science. Stu has extensive knowledge of French history and we leaned so much. Biking around the town of Versailles was fun! You feel like the locals shopping at the market for the picnic. Biking is a great way to cover the garden of Versailles as it is huge! What a nice day it was and it will be one of the best memorable days we spent in France!
