    I would HIGHLY recommend taking this tour, or any other tour from Matteo!!
    I highly recommend Mattia because this isn't just a job for him it's who he is a great connoisseur of Parmigianino cheese and Parma ham.

    The guide was terrific. Very knowledgeable and hospitable. Loved the drive through the Parma countryside. Both producers are proud of their heritage and the produce delicious cheese and ham.

    This excursion is one we have been waiting for. With that being said it was a little disappointing. The Parma tour was exceptional and that is where it ended. The prosciutto portion was about an hour away and they do not warm you about what to expect. There were persons in our party that are very sensitive to smells/odors and inside the the facility is very overwhelming with an overabundance of very extraordinary smell. Would only recommend if you have a strong stomach.

    Pick up at the hotel was very precise and the guide very, very good. Very interesting both at the cheese factory and the ham factory. We thought we had payed for a private tour, meaning that the guiding was only for us, 8 people. However, several groups were joined. We also missed water bottles that should have been inkluder.

    This was a great experience, especially the tour of the cheese factory. The parma ham was not as interesting, but that's just because the production is not at complicated. I think it was worth it, but if you are considering just doing one; choose the cheese tour 🙂

    Driver arrived exact on time at hotel. Tour at the Parma cheese factory was good, good explanation given by a guy with a great sense of humour. After the tour you could by the cheese from the factory. They also were selling Lambrusco against a ridiculous price of 8 euro/bottle. Man said first 10 euro but realized it was crazy prize. You buy it in supermarket for 3 or 4 euro. After we went to a Parma ham factory which was disappointing. Very commercial place, not a traditional Parma ham factory which I have visited before. Tour finished quick without seeing procedures, very static tour. If you go for the Parma cheese, great, but skip the Parma ham.

    Picked up early, guides are very knowledgeable as their families are cheese and/or Parma ham makers. Really cool seeing everything done in front of you in the factories and good tastings too.

    I took my 4 kids on this tour and we loved the experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. We learned so much! The tastings were delicious! The only issue we had was with communications prior to the tour start. I thought the pick up place was settled and I receive a message the day before asking where we wanted to be picked up. This was confusing because it was already established where they were going to pick us up. I messaged back asking for confirmation but no one got back to me so I was left wondering if they were going ti pick us up. To make matters a little more stressful, they were a half hour late picking us up (came at 9 am instead of 830 am) making me wonder if I didn’t have the right pick up place after all. But it turns out I did have the right pick up place. The driver said he was late because of road closures. But we still had a fantastic tour, we may have missed just the initial steps of making the cheese.

    Our driver and guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. They both were from families with generations experience in making both cheese and Parma ham. Plus the food samples were excellent.

    We had a great day visiting the Parmigiano Reggiano factory and the Parma ham factory. The transfers were efficient. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable (and witty) - he made sure that we understood every part of the cheese and ham making processes and was able to answer every question we had. I think it is very misleading/incorrect to state on the booking page that it is max. 8 people - we had at least 30 people in our group so it is definitely not as stated. Perhaps therefore slightly overpriced but we really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Parma.

    We had such a fun day learning about the production of Parma ham and Parmigiano cheese. Super organized and quick paced trip with top notch transport. We got to taste all the yummy things and gain a new depth of understanding about these delicacies. Our 5 year old twins loved it, too! Mattia, our guide, was fun, energetic and incredibly knowledgeable. Do it!
