The 1.5 hour Panoramic Night Tour has 2 daily departures at 6:30pm and 8pm. Suggested boarding time is 20-30 minutes prior to selected departure time. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Great tour at a reasonable price! We had a great time!! Even in the light rain, we could hear and see well. The buses were easily and readily available when we were ready to go to the next stop. The choice of getting off at the stops or staying on made it really convenient and easy to use.

I was pretty disappointed in this tour. I did get to very quickly see landmarks, but just a quick glance. The canopy on top of the bus was so scratched by tree limbs that no clear shots could be taken. Hence, the iconic City Hall is anything but clear. Plus, unless stopped at a traffic light, the bus was in constant motion, lurching so that no good photos could be made. The photo of Ben Franklin's gravesite is evidence of this happening. Maybe I should have expected this, but I didn't. I hopped off at one point, so I had two guides. Both were friendly and both thought they were comedians or were at least they were aspiring to be. I appreciate humor with my history, but one was particularly negative in his remarks about Philadelphia (the City is broke, misappropriation of funds, lack of safety in the area, etc.), while the other provided some historic facts I have to doubt were accurate. Several historic landmarks on the route were blown off and merely named as the bus drove by.

Unfortunate timing

I purchased tickets on the same day at 3:00pm and did not realize that the bus stops running at 4:00pm. I requested a cancellation at 3:15 and just received an email stating that there is nothing they can do to get me a refund. I would have taken a credit for a different day but they did not even offer that.

Terrible experience with Philadelphia Hop On Hop Off Bus and Viator

This was an awful experience for us. We have done “Hop On Hop Off” buses in other cities and they have been wonderful. We would recommend them literally anywhere else we have traveled, domestic and international. However our experience with Philadelphia was horrible! We actually saw a bus and we were across the street and couldn’t get to the stop in time. We waited for over an hour and a half at that stop and never saw another bus! We called the company’s main office line three times, while we were waiting. Each time we were told they were running and would on there soon. Once, the second time we called, we were told 3-4 minutes! The weather was rainy and windy, so there may have been fewer buses running and Philadelphia Eagles game was being played. So drivers/workers may have been watching the game instead? However, once we called, wouldn’t you think the office representative would have called the bus operators to let them know someone was waiting at our stop?? We have requested a full refund from Viator (company we booked the bus through) are now waiting to hear back from them. It has been over 48 hours and still no response from them. Overall, terrible experience in the case.

Mica, our booking agent was extremely helpful in helping me to coordinate me meeting up wit my children and grandchildren from out of state. She provided parking information and walking distance to the first stop. This made my hysband and myself confident that everyone 6 Adults, 4 Children had a central meet up location. At the podium to get our paper tickets I informed City Sightseeing that we had made a change to our reservation and were 1 Adult and 1 Child short. She noted that on those 2 printed tickets that were not used. Outr tour guide spoke clearly and was knowledgeable and entertaining. We rode on the oprn top of the bus and everyone had a fun time. We got off at The Harbor Park and toured The Museum. I would recommend this way to sight see!

I waited for over an hour In Philadelphia Pa at stop #8 & while I put my hand up in the air for the sightseeing bus to stop & pick me & my wife up for her birthday which was on 8/10/22. The first bus rode past as I held my hand up for them to stop & the driver from what I could see was a female driver gestured something with her hand and kept going. At first I did not know if it was the correct bus until I looked up at the number eight spot and realized that it was. My wife who was sitting on the benches the whole time waiting on the bus to pull up asked me if everything was OK which I did not understand why the bus had rode by and not picked us up, I waited another 15 minutes and saw another bus approaching I again stood up tall held my hand up for them to stop it stop number eight and that bus also kept going so then I became very upset. I then called into the main company where I booked my tickets which is the company that I am writing this information now, the lady told me to wait a few more minutes that a bus would be pulling up that few minutes turned in to almost or more than an hour wait I called the lady back and I told her that a third bus pass us bye and that I would be asking for a full refund and also contacting my attorney which I still will be doing and they will get in touch with this company for false advertisement. My name is Stevie Pugh you can check all documentation my paperwork and information was paid for and I still haven’t received a refund for the bad experience that I’ve had with this company so again my attorney will be contacting you my phone number is 484-680-1242. We then got back on and learned so much more. This was so fun, your bus drivers are incredible, Pine street is so narrow. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging.

Oversold for holiday

Very informative, though they oversold tickets for Fourth of July weekend. We had to sit separately on the tour and we never did find space to get back on another bus as a group. So we ended up only doing the tour and then not using it again. I think they should’ve capped the tickets they sold on a holiday weekend instead of warning us that if we get off the bus we won’t be able to get back on because there won’t be space. They seem to be aware of the issue, so in that case… Why sell so many tickets?

We did the whole tour all the way through which took 90 min. Then we went around again stopping at the places we wanted to see. Super convenient. I felt bad that I didn’t have much for a tip and they only could take cash tips so make sure you have some as they do a good job.

I also think that he should be commended for his ability to work under pressure, he had to stand the entire time, dodging branches and struggling to hold himself up on a moving bus. I would recommend this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable on the history of Philadelphia. The only downside was there are not enough buses operating at one time so you have to wait over an hour for another bus if you decide to hop off and sight see.

I got my tickets for Wednesday March 2nd, and I even call to confirm where the Tour would start, however , once I got to the place referred, just then the Tour Operator told me that they do not tour on Wednesday!!!! Since I was with my family and we did not wanted to miss the City Sightseeing of Philadelphia, we decided to take the tour the next day without complaints. Next day, the tour guide was so obnoxious, we could not really enjoy the tour , and on top of that, the bus did not make the stops that it was supposed to … the headset did not work either… horrible service !
