What To Expect

Your ATV tour starts from Rock Springs, a community located in Black Canyon City just north of Phoenix. Check-in with your guide for a safety briefing and training then slip on your helmet and goggles before setting off for the Bradshaw Mountains of the Sonoran Desert.

Travel past saguaro cacti and deep canyons carved by flash floods in the vast desert terrain. Ride off-road over rugged washes and cross creeks.

The ride offers scenic views of the Agua Fria River Valley, and includes plenty of stops to learn about the area from your guide. Hear anecdotes about the Native Americans who once farmed the unforgiving landscape; search for coyotes, bobcats, deer, rabbits, quail, and snakes.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

I had an amazing time. Did not expect to have that much fun. The guide Riley was great, very engaging and made the experience better. I absolutely recommend this trip to everyone. My only con was the price. For some reason the price at the location says $79 a person. The website I booked from said $99 a person and when I finally purchased the tickets I was charged about $130 a person. So it seemed like it would be cheaper buying from the location. Other than the pricing confusion this was very much worth it. Oh, and expect to get muddy so don’t wear shoes you don’t want to ruin…

The UTV ride was fun! I felt safe at all times. The guide, Charlie, was great. However, if I knew the weather would continue to rain and be cold, I would have canceled for a better weather day. Fortunately, the staff was wise enough to advise taking the UTV instead of the ATV. Would definitely do again!

We took the guided tour on the ATVs and it was a blast! The instruction was good in the beginning to help us better handle the equipment even though we had been on ATVs before. Love the opportunity to stop and look around and take pictures a few times while Darryn gave us great info on history and the desert and other items. I would highly recommend this is an activity if you have 3 hours during your vacation time!

The staff were very friendly and Nate was awesome— it was by far our favorite ATVing experience. They teach you everything you need to know ahead of time and put you on a practice track so that you can feel it out and easily switch to a UTV if you aren’t comfortable riding alone. A couple tips I wish I knew: 1) bring seat covers with you, you’ll be wet up to your waist in water and mud 2) bring shoes you plan on throwing away 3) If you’re afraid of heights, it might not be for you, there’s some steep hills and you are very literally in the mountains, so you’ll be on actual paved cliffs Highly, highly recommend

I booked the tickets as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. We ended up doing the self-guided rentals and it ended up being so fun eve. Although it was both of our first time ever riding an atv, the instructors teach you a quick course in the beginning and it really helped us behold the confidence to ride on our own to explore the tracks. We are already planning on returning with a group of friends too.

We had SO much fun! We were expecting hot weather traveling here from Nebraska. Unfortunately it rained, snowed, and hailed the whole time we were out there. Not to mention the wind!!! BUT, Our tour guide, Charlie, was amazing! He kept us in high spirits and still provided a great tour. I highly recommend this tour and definitely will do it again when we come back!
