A Wonderful Way to see the Sites

ALL of the experience was wonderful Darian picked us up at the meeting place. He was very Gracious & Kind. All the stops listed were great- we had enough time at each stop- never feeling as if we did not have enough time. The drive was smooth & Beautiful as were the sites we saw.

A great way to see Sedona from Phoenix if you only have a day. I just wish it allowed for me to book as a solo traveler instead of a minimum party size of two. The scenery is breathtaking and the wine was a nice way to end the day. John was a great tour guide.

Hi Christopher. Thanks very much for choosing our tour! I understand the concern about solo bookings. We do accept solo bookings directly, but unfortunately can not with the online bookings. Our minimum for a tour to operate is two, so we always like to make sure a tour will operate before accepting a booking. Otherwise we do have waiting lists. I do realize it presents an issue, but if we allowed the solo bookings online, then we may have to cancel last minute and that only leads to unhappy travelers. I know that you chose to book for "two" in order to make sure that you got a tour.... but as others DID join, I'd be happy to request to Viator that you receive refund for the extra seat that you had to buy. The tour guide arrived on time and was very kind and knowledgeable. Every aspect of the tour was provided, just as outlined in the description. The small group, 5 passengers, made for a more personal experience. This tour highlighted the major sites of Sedona, and we saw everything we hoped to see. We enjoyed climbing Bell Rock and seeing the Church of the Holy Cross. It was also nice to have a bit of time on our own in Sedona. If I would change anything, it would be to spend more time at Tiaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. Our tour guide was flexible, knowledgable and pleasant.

We had a good time. Bobby was our driver and he was so friendly and personable providing us laughs and historical facts along the way. Wish we had a little more time to do a couple more things, but hey time flies when you’re having fun. I recommend this tour especially if you’re looking to have a laid back trip away from Phoenix to experience a little bit of Sedona charm.

Eddie the driver would not not stop talking about moving, his career, his family and politics. Believe it or not I do not care about what is going on for him. I said that I did not want to get into politics and just enjoy the drive but he still talked about it. On the way back three times I said let’s just focus on driving but he kept talking even in heavy traffic. When my friend and I got home, we were frazzled from all his talking.

Interesting. Eddie immediately let me know after your tour that "one of the ladies in the group would not stop bringing up politics and even her friend asked her to stop". To those reading this review.... the person writing it has extreme political views to one side. I do not like to get into politics so I won't say which side, as everyone has a right to their views. We are very diplomatic and so we don't join in and I believe she is doing what people do in today's world, which is to lash out against someone she feels did not agree with her. It is a shame. I assure you, review reader, Eddie is an amazing guide. Many of our guests ask us not only about the state of Arizona, but also about us personally. Our tours are often described as "going on a trip with friends", so we get into a groove in which we are very comfortable with our guests. I am not surprised he would bring up family and other personal things. But politics are not a topic we touch.

Sedona in a day

I did not expect the traffic on the way into Sedona. Maybe shuffling the stop on the way in where we walk our way to Uptown allows for more time to eat, shop, and explore. The extra fee at Montezuma Castle was expected but would be nice if it was included with the tour. Eddie, our tour guide, was great!

Thanks for your review! I am glad that you enjoyed the tour! As there is only one way in and out of the Uptown area, and it is very popular, there is no way to shuffle the order and make traffic not exist. But thank you for the suggestion. We have tried different order and believe me, we do the best we can. The admission to Montezuma Castle is not included because that is a flexible add-on to the tour. We offer choice of certain spots on the route, some have an entry, some do not. Not all groups choose the addition. If we charged for the admission and included it, it would not be fair to guests that choose the flexible add-ons that have no admission. This was explained to you. Thanks again! Thanks very much for your review. Our Sedona itinerary is very expansive for a one day tour to the area from Phoenix, and we visit a wide range of spots during our time there. We visit the landmark Chapel of the Holy Cross for stunning views. We visit Tlaquepaque, which is modeled after a Mexican artisan village. There are many boutiques and galleries and people very much enjoy visiting. Some of those shops are definitely expensive, but our guests request it often and enjoy looking. Uptown Sedona is great for food options, and the more touristy shops that people want for gift items, the famous "New Age" shops for crystals, and Sedona keepsakes. Beyond that, we offer flexibility by allowing guests to select two options from the following: a Native American cliff dwelling ruin, a local vineyard, an extended red rock scenic drive, or a local hike. This tour group chose the cliff dwelling and the hike. On this particular day, very poor weather arrived in the late afternoon, so the hike could not happen for personal safety reasons. The red rocks are VERY slippery when wet. We are sorry that you felt that this decision of ours warranted a 3 star review, and wish that we could do something about the weather. I hope that you enjoyed all the other spots that we took you!!

My 10 yo son, friend and I had an amazing experience. We took a private tour from Scottsdale to Sedona. Our driver, Jonathan, was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs and wants. Highly recommend this trip, especially if it’s your first time to the area. You will see more, learn more and be able to relax while soaking in views and surroundings. Definitely worth the value.
