Get on a UTV to do some self-guided exploration of the Black Canyon desert in Arizona. You’ll get to do the driving, after a safety briefing before you go. Up to 4 people can ride in the UTV. It’s a 3 hour experience with one hour to check in, and 2 hours to train and go ride through the mountainous and desert landscape. Helmet, goggles, and face mask are all set up for you to use. Bookings are per vehicle. If your group requires more than one vehicle, please create multiple bookings. Max of 4 people per vehicle.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Beware of Extortion

Buyer beware. Arrived with family for an adventure. Staff was super nice at first. Admittedly, we caused some damage to the vehicles (unintentionally). Fully expected to address that properly. Upon return the business held our IDs and credit card until we agreed to pay their estimate of damages. Manager or owner walked by us multiple times and was profane directed at us each time. When asked who he was they lied and said he was just some maintenance guy. Refused to allow normal vehicle collision protocols reporting to insurance and obtaining estimates. Extortionate in my opinion. Should bring extra case or credit card if you are unlucky like we were. Refused to file through vehicle insurance and told us it would go straight to collections unless we paid.

Amazing experience

We had originally signed up for the unguided tour. We have small children so we wanted to go at our own pace. but Jeff was exceptional and invited us along for his guided tour. We had the best time and learned a ton about the area, native plants and some cool stories. Thanks again Jeff we had the best time!

Desert riding

Enjoying the desert on a UTV. Outdoor Adventure has great equipment, great staff, and are safety focused. The trails are marked so getting around is easy. We did the the self guided tour and had fun, we didn’t know in advance that the self guided ride is limited to a few trails. The guided ride has access to much more of the desert and dedicated trails. We would have liked the extra access that the guided tour provides.

What an amazing thrilling ride through the dessert! The entire family enjoyed. We were gelped with the fitting of the gear. We had a last minute change froma 2 seater ATV to a 4 seater which wss easily accommodated. The tour guide was safe and helpful, yet fun and engaging. We made some stops along the way and took beautiful pictures of the family and learned about ghe flora and plants in the dessert. A wonderful time was had by all!

Returning to the trailhead was definitely faster thank going out! We hit the course after some heavy rains and it was muddy, fun, and added a little more excitement to the downhills and sharp turns!

Fun Adventure

Very fun experience. We opted to take the guided tour once we arrived and were offered a chance to join a caravan of UTVs. The guided tour goes further and higher than the self-guided experience and the tour guide tells you what gear to use. The only thing I must warn you about is the dust. Wear clothes you don’t care about and don’t plan to bring anything you cannot wash. Even your phone will get dusty! Definitely an authentic experience!

So much fun! We ultimately decided against the unguided tour because the we had to follow the same trail anyway and the guided tour got to experience about 6 more miles of trail. Our tour guides were Kennedy and Austin with @azoutdoorfun and they were so knowledgeable and stopped a few times to talk about the history of the land, legends, plant life and wildlife. Highly recommend! It was HOT but the views and the fun we had made the whole thing (including a 2 hour round trip) very worth it!

Great way to spend your time enjoying the desert. Everybody is very friendly here. We enjoyed the unguided toy very much. If you get off the trail just call the No. on your wristband and have them drop a pin to you where their located. On Google maps. 😉😀
