Cinque Terre tour in Small Group from Pisa

This was one of the best tours I have ever experienced. The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. We had just enough time at each village and were able to truly soak up the local Italian flavors and sights. Highly recommend

Well organised tour by guide Petra who was knowledgeable and organised all our tickets and train rides and gave us enough time to explore. Driver Giuseppe was great too in getting us to and from Pisa safely.

Good trip. You get to see 4 of the 5 villages. We had to travel by train as the sea was too bad for the boats, trains were very fast and easy. It does need to be clear in the group description that it is a maximum of 8 passengers in the vehicle you are picked up but the trip is max 15 persons overall. As you don’t spend much time together it’s not that much of an issue. You are dropped off in each village and given time to explore. I feel for the price, you are mainly paying for the transportation and organisation between the villages which you could do yourself: Marta, our tour guide, was a lovely person however I didn’t really understand why she was there at times as she didn’t give much information at the villages and I googled a lot of the history myself when there (or listened to the other trips going on). Overall it is a nice day out however I think the cost you pay for the trip is not necessarily worth it if you are an organised person who could arrange trains themselves.

Martha is the best tour guide.She even managed to locate my friends missing jacket. We had lunch at Tusca Bistro.Loved it

A must when visiting Pisa. It was a small group of 12 people, hotel pick up and drop off was provided. We had a very knowledgeable guide, Luca for this tour. The towns are so quaint. The boat ride was a great way to view the villages from the water.

Our driver was very polite and punctual. He was friendly too. The guide Veronica was very nice and gave us precise information. The time allocated for the grop tour was good and we had enough tine to explore ourselves .

I have to admit that we were disappointed with this tour. Our guide was Marta, and although she was very nice, the tour did not live up to the description provided. First off, it claims to be a tour with a maximum of 8 people. We had 7 in our van coming from Pisa, but there were @ 6 or more coming from Lucca.Next, the description states that we would visit all FIVE towns. Knowing this, we went on our own the day before and did 3 of the 5. When we arrived with the tour, they were only doing the same 3 towns we had done. By the time we arrived at the the first 2 towns, we had only 30-40 minutes before we had to meet again.This isn’t Marta’s fault, but for the cost, the trip is too short. When we went on our own the train tickets were very inexpensive.The last problem was the communication for pick up. Our hotel allowed only pedestrian traffic in front of it and Bellatour said we had to walk to a taxi stand in a square by a McDonalds. We did that and then they went to our hotel. Luckily, someone who worked at the hotel we were staying at recognized us and stopped. He called the hotel only to find out they had come and gone, so he called the tour company to say where we were waiting. They did find us, but it was very confusing.

This tour company excelled! Our guide Marta was knowledgeable, pleasant and co-ordinated our day perfectly providing the right amount of commentary, recommendations then allowing us our own free time to explore independently. We arrived in Porto Venere first walking through the village and up to the church. Due to the weather conditions we boarded a boat here for the hour trip to Monterosso. We spent about 2 hours there, including time for lunch with fabulous water views at Il Casello. Look for the yellow umbrellas at the top of the hill in the old part of town and we recommend the stuffed anchovies and fish ravioli! Next was a short train trip to Vernazza and steep walk up to the tower top 1.50 EUR charge but worth it for the nice view. Our last stop was Riomaggiore, very pretty but crowded. Our 15 min train from Riomaggiore back to La Spezia was also very crowded and some of our group had to stand. The mini-van was waiting at La Spezia station for a quick transfer and safe return to Pisa.

Unfortunately we missed this tour due to our flight being cancelled France air traffic controllers' strike. The tour operator claimed we did not inform them of our cancellation 24 hours in advance - we were only able to call the number on the voucher as we did not have internet connection, and they claim they had no record of the cancellation. HOWEVER, as a gesture of goodwill Viator agreed to refund us 100 of costs. Well done to Viator for standing in - I can highly recommend Viator as agent as they are dealing with integrity.

Can you say amazing sights to take in at your leisure with periods of relaxation? This is definitely the tour for you and the guide was knowledgeable. You cannot I repeat cannot visit the Tuscany Region without going to Cinque Terre either by train or in small tour group.
