The guided tour provided important insight into the geography, population and history of the area, allowing for a much clearer picture of what the ruins represented. I would not recommend this tour with Andrea. I booked a small group tour with an archeologist. At each point of interest he would stand in the 3 foot doorway talking for 15/20 minutes then quickly begin walking to the next stop not giving anyone time for photos or to see what he was speaking about. Most of the tour was spent unable to hear while we were running to catch up.

Andrea was knowledgable and informative. Highly recommend him. He made it a really enjoyable visit, including interesting facts for the kids too. Nice small group (8) as advertised. Unlike other ‘small’ groups, that end up being 15-20 people!

Teresa was absolutely amazing. If you’re on the fence on if you should spend the extra to have an archeologist for your guide, do it! She gave us so much amazing information we had never heard before, even though we’ve watch several documentaries on Pompeii. She was so friendly and passionate about teaching us the history. She is an absolute gem! This was the tour we were looking forward to the most and Teresa well exceeded our hopes. One note to those with mobility issues or small kids, it is very uneven rocky ground with some very steep inclines. It is not at all stroller friendly and there is a lot of walking. I would not recommend bringing smaller children. It will be difficult to get them around. I have arthritis in my back and hip and was in a lot of pain. It was worth it for me to push through but others might not be able to make the whole tour.

We had a fantastic tour by Alessandra Sena, who is an archaeologist, who trained in Pompeii. She was very knowledgeable about Pompeii, the Romans and Vesuvius, and she really brought the town to life for us. She was very friendly and spoke great English. Highly recommended.

Alessandra was a very knowledgeable, passionate, and easy to understand tour guide. Pompeii was a unique experience as the site was significantly larger than we had expected. It was a maze of streets and alleys with shops and homes in various stages of ruin. The stories our guide shared were enlightening. While we are glad to have experienced it, it's not one we would do again.

We recently had the most amazing guided tour with the archeologist Michele, from ASKOS tours. ( I hope I have remembered his name correctly ) In the nearly 2.5 hour long tour, he managed to fill every stop and in between walking with fascinating anecdotes and 'teen-friendly' history that made the Pompeii site come alive. Our very knowledgeable guide described in wonderful detail everything from how life would have been in Pompeii prior to the eruption, then how the site was discovered and has evolved in the hundreds of years since and continues to be modified today.

I highly recommend this tour when visiting Pompeii. My girlfriend and I booked this after exploring some other options and we’re extremely happy we chose this tour. Our archeological guide, VINCE showed us all the the important locations in a 2.5 hour exploration of the site. I was unprepared for how large Pompeii is and without this tour, we would have been wandering around without a clue. Pro Tip: if visiting with luggage, skip the train station and leave your bags just beyond the gate for FREE!

We had Teresa as our tour guide. She was INCREDIBLE. I’ve done Pompeii before but Teresa really brought the city to life with her passion and her stories. It’s probably the best tour I’ve ever done. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! They are the absolute worse and have terrible customer service. They messaged me via viator with an extremely fake message! That’s not how they treated me over the phone! I guess to look good with Viator they decided to message me acting like they were understanding and cared! I cannot believe Viator works with this type of company! I used Viator to book this vacations activities but won’t again knowing they work with these unprofessional business.

You did not participate in our experience, and we have complied with every Viator policy. We also offered you the entrance tickets at our expenses, even though we were not required to do so. You called to tell us that you couldn't arrive on time and we told you that if you arrived by 4:30 pm (your tour started at 2pm) we would at least give you the entrance tickets to visit the site on your own. You nevere arrived! We treat all our customers with respect, sorry you had a bad feeling. I'm sure yours was just the wrong impression.

Très belle expérience, guide très sympa, pédagogue et très efficace dans sa gestion des flux : nous avons vu beaucoup de choses sans faire la queue malgré une affluence certaine. Visite effectuée dans un groupe de taille raisonnable, avec un enfant de 12 ans qui a accroché. Seul bémol : les casques audio à renouveler.

17.Juli: wenn man pompeij verstehen will, dann unbedingt auf dieser Tour mit Alfredo. Auf jede Frage eine Antwort. Tiefes Hintergrund Wissen und sehr einfühlsam. Hier versteht man warum die Römer hunderte von Jahren viel weiter waren als wir in Deutschland wo wir noch in den Höhlen gehaust haben
