Great tour of Pompeii

Loved this tour of Pompeii! We booked it with our boys aged 12 and 16 and were with a group of maybe 12 people total. Our boys ended up wandering off on their own at about the hour mark (of the tour hour tour) but that worked well as they wanted to see other parts of the ruins. It was fascinating! Definitely worth a guide or you’ll miss a lot of the context. We throughly enjoyed our tour and would book again.

Rafaelle was an amazing tour guide and knew so much about PompeiI and Herculaneum. We learned so much history in one day (actually two days, because we were lucky enough to have Rafaelle as our guide in Herculaneum too). Pompeii is a must-see archeological site, and I would highly recommend this tour.

A very informative and interesting tour. Our guide met us at the entrance as planned. It was a small group so no need for annoying headphones. As an archeologist he was able to build a picture of the city in it's heyday and through a mixture of geology, history and culture bring the terrible events to life. I'd recommend a guide for Pompeii. Good value for money.

Raffaelle, our tour guide, was amazing. He was detailed and passionate in his explanations and really brought the old Roman ways and life alive. We really enjoyed the tour very much and we sre pleased that we joined VIP tours. We can highly recommend this experience.

My tour was led by the charismatic Vincenzo. He was punctual and we only had a slight delay because a couple members of the tour did not buy their tickets before hand. Vincenzo was very informative and I learnt so much from him. He delivered all of his facts with a sense of humour and the tour was very entertaining! Definitely worth the money!

Our guide was very experienced and informative. She spoke great English and knew exactly where to take us to visit the most special parts of Pompeii, whilst avoiding the worst of the queues. Going in the morning was best, to avoid the hottest part of the day. It was a truly fantastic tour.

Really impressed with this tour. Our guide Raffaele was super friendly, helpful when we turned up at the wrong train station and knowledgeable. He really bought Pompeii to life with a great insight into the inner workings of this ancient city.
