Excellent insight into life in ancient Pompeii, including building techniques, art/design and social practices. We would have still enjoyed a self-guided visit here but the archaeologist’s commentary made it a much richer and memorable experience.

A highlight of our trip to Italy, Pompeii is a must-see. And our guide, Giovanna, was the BEST! She was very informative, enthusiastic and seemed truly excited about showing us this amazing place. We couldn’t have covered as much ground or learned as much on our own. She also went above and beyond, waiting for us when our driver from Rome was running late. Amazing one on one tour with someone who really knew he history of the place. Moved at a good pace and could answer any questions we had about anything. 2.5 hour tour felt like no time at all. Amazing experience - would do again!!! So much better than a group tour!

Our family of 4 had a fabulous time in Pompeii with Giancarlo! We went to the wrong gate, but Giancarlo came to meet us. I can’t believe how large and well preserved this site is. We enjoyed Pompeii far more than the coliseum. Book this tour. You won’t regret it.
