If the Vesuvius is not accessible due to force majeur, the tour will include the visit of Herculaneum instead of Vesuvius.
Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Enjoyable small group tour - highly recommended

Really enjoyable and informative tour of Pompeii. The Vesuvius climb was wonderful and our driver gave us enough time to make the ascent and descent with time to enjoy the views at the top. A well organised trip and nice to not be in a large group as many other trips were.

If you like history, Pompeii ruins are one of the best and biggest historical site. Mount Vesuvius is quite a challenge to get up there as well. Great tour guides for both. A lot of walking though. Probably around 15,000 steps or more for that day.

We did this tour on 6/18 and enjoyed everything about it! We were led on a 2hr tour in Pompei with archaelogist Michael who we were very impressed by. He was extremely knowledgable, professional, gave us enough time at each stop, and his storytelling of events were so vivid—it felt as if I timetraveled and could imagine myself in the past when the eruption occurred. Overall, spent 3-4 hours total within the park including time to explore on our own and to eat. Our driver, Franchesco, accompanied us on the hike up Vesuvio and was also very knowledgable and did an awesome job keeping it light and joyful with the group with his personality. He was attentive and engaging to us all. Overall, we can’t recommend this tour enough! We appreciate the small group size (8) and never felt rushed. Adequate time was spent in both must-sees of Italy.

Amazing experience and fantastic guides

Our tour through Pompeii and our hike up Vesuvius was an incredible experience. It is a must do if visiting the Napoli area. Our guide Annasetta was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She provided so much detail it was really incredible. We were then driven about 30 minutes to Mt. Vesuvius. The hike up was not bad and the views and experience was well worth it. Our driver and guide Francesco was one of the nicest persons I meet in Italy. From the drive, to the hike, to the information he provide, Francesco was awesome. Myself and my family had an awesome experience. Thank you!

Pick up was nice and simple at a hotel opposite central station. Immaculate and new air conditioned minibus. Pompeii was great and in such immaculate condition following the restorations etc. Sergei was our guide and he was excellent. Professional and light hearted. Francesco our driver was fabulous. Kind, accommodating and very eager to take care of you. Would highly recommend.

This tour was amazing. I remember our guide in Pompeii. His name is Michael. He was great. Very professional, passionate about history, kind and polite. We were very surprised about the tour. We had a great time. Michael make us imagined everything telling the story. He was very illustrated. It was a nice to see people doing their job very well!! Thanks Michael. On our way to the mountain Vesuvius. We had another guide. He was very nice and was trying to give us motivation along the hike. He play really good music in the van on our way.! The views you get to see along the way are stunning!!! A must do!

So happy we did the tour! Our Pompeii guide, Anna S. Was so knowledgeable, was able to answer all of our questions and seemed genuinely happy as she guided us around. The trip to Vesuvius was easy and Franscesco led us to the top, sharing information and answering questions along the way. Great trip and perfect if you have a teen. Two hours of info in Pompeii was just enough. Vesuvius was his highlight.

We had a tour with Ivan and he was great and knowledgeable. Unfortunately out tour to Mount Vesuvius was closed due to weather but he offered to take us to Herculaneum. It was more vast , artifact wise, and we would recommend visiting it.
