Clare was so very knowledgable and showed us all the main sites to see whilst also avoiding the large crowds of people. Clare was both interesting and entertaining keeping our attention and ensuring we all understood. We always had the opportunity to ask questions and talk with Clare

Lello made Pompeii come back alive in our minds!

We took our tour with Lello. He was excellent! He really made Pompeii come alive with his descriptions and demonstrations. Four kids aged 11 to 18 with one adult. He kept all of our attention and made us laugh too. We highly recommend this tour!

We will never forget this experience

This trip was absolutely one of the best we have ever had. We always wanted to visit Pompei and this tour made our visit a truly rememberable experience. Our guide was Cleila, we were lucky to have her as she was super informative and helpful, she made us live the experience as if we were back in time 2,000 years ago. I really recommend booking this trip. Pompie is one of the most amazing sites in the world, having a private tour with an amazing guide is really worth it.

Fascinating history lesson

I had seen an exhibit of Pompeii artifacts in 1979 in Boston so visiting the actual site so many years later brought it full circle. Our guide reminded me of some facts I knew but provided so much more that I didn’t. She was extremely knowledgeable, navigated the crowded areas to optimize our time, and tailored the tour to our interests. It was the right amount of time for us, especially on a warm day. Watching large groups attempt to navigate the ruins made us so thankful we had chosen a private tour. Note: Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and be prepared for a crowded and warm train ride to the site.

Our guide Italo was amazing, he was very knowledgeable and brought the history of Pompeii to life. We had visited on our own 4 years previously but this time we came away with an appreciation of the lives of the people of Pompeii and the surrounding area in the time before the eruption. He also told the story of the discovery and the gradual uncovering of Pompeii and Herculaneum. You get so much more from a guided tour especially a personal tour and I would recommend anyone planning to visit that they book a tour with Italo.

We had a fabulous time touring Pompeii with Lello Coppola during our trip to Italy over the Holidays. He is very passionate, kept us all engaged, shared so many interesting facts, and has a great sense of humor! We loved our time at Pompeii. Lello being an archeologist himself brought the site alive for us. His knowledge of the construction, frescoes, site are all unbeatable. After the tour, we also toured a vineyard nearby on the slopes of Vesuvius that is not to be missed. We didn't have prior reservations, Lello called the vineyard for us and made it happen! Thank you Lello for a great time!

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide was fantastic and really brought to life the whole history and richness of Pompei. The company as a whole was wonderfully helpful and guided us each step of the way preparing for our tour. They went above and beyond.
