Amazing Pompeii

Our tour guide, Francesco, made this a special and most memorable event. Normally a three hour walk in the grueling Pompeii summer sun would be unbearable. The guide made all the difference. He sought out shade to talk about what we had seen or were about to see. His humor was infectious and his knowledge free flowing and never condescending. This was my third visit to Pompeii and, by far, the most memorable.

The guide was more of a comedian than an archeologist. The group was bigger than 10 people. He arrived late. I took the tour with my husband and wished I had booked another one or skipped it. The guide was good with kids (but we don’t have any)

kind customer the guide who made your tour is a professional, who by defining a comedian you do nothing but offend, since you bought a shared tour accessible to all the guide had to adapt the tour to the children present, next time you can also book a private tour with the same guide to test his actual knowledge.

The tour was much shorter than advertised. We did not start on time and we finished approximately 30 minutes early so the tour was actually much closer to 2 hours than 3. The tour guide was nice and polite but not great as a guide. He spent a lot of the tour reading and showing pictures from a children's book on Pompeii. It is an experience worth doing but I would go with a different tour operator.

False advertising – this was a two hour tour

While the guide was very good, I had specifically signed up for a three hour guided tour. This ended exactly at two hours, with the guide repeatedly saying that he had to get some people back to the starting point at a specific time. False advertising, They were plenty of guides there that I overheard that were very good. I would not recommend using this company.

Fantastico Tour!

This tour was one of the highlights of our three-week visit to Italy. Our guide was knowledgeable (encyclopedic), engaging, and funny! He made Pompei come alive again, telling us not only about the ruins, but details about Roman life at that time, even describing how different people dressed depending on how wealthy (or not) they were. The tour was from 3pm till 6pm, and very hot in the beginning, but pleasant at the end. Our guide was good about finding shade and water for us along the way. I will highly recommend this tour to all my friends!

Our guide Paulo was very knowledgeable and made us “ live” the story of Pompeii. Great size of the group- 8 of us. He kept asking for feedback to ensure everyone understood what he was explaining. He was excellent! After the guided tour, you can still explore on your own. Great experience from Pampeii!

Vicenzo was a super guide - clear knowledgeable information, all of it super interesting - he was also able to answer individual questions in depth and clearly was very passionate about Pompeii and its importance as a site. I felt I’d really learned about the city’s history, it’s construction, and everyday life there. The pace and time was perfect (note there is no break!) I loved every second.

Francesco was an amazing tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone going to Pompeii and 3 hours is the perfect length. We were lucky to have a small group, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Monica ci ha spiegato Pompei in modo affascinante. È impossibile vedere tutta Pompei in 3 ore, ma siamo riusciti a vederne le parti più importanti. Pompei è davvero incredibile e ti offre un'eccellente visione della vita in quei tempi. Nonostante il caldo, Monica è stata attentissima alle nostre esigenze, assolutamente da consigliare.
