What To Expect

Whether you’re a beach bum in search of that perfect stretch of sand, or just looking for the perfect reef adventure, this Puerto Rico catamaran excursion is sure to delight. Indulge yourself with a fun catamaran cruise to serene Icacos island for a day of swimming, underwater exploration and relaxation.

Make your own way to the catamaran’s departure point in Fajardo. From there, the catamaran proceeds east to the idyllic island of Icacos. Once anchored, spend the rest of your morning on the island as you wish, strolling the beach, searching for shells, snorkeling, or swimming in the aquamarine waters just offshore.

Head back to the catamaran for a midday lunch break. Lunch consists of a pre-made lunch box. You can either choose a Turkey or Veggie wrap (veggie upon 48-hour prior request), pasta salad, chips, cookies, a fresh whole fruit, plus bottled water, sodas, pina coladas, and rum drink pouches.

Spend some more time relaxing or snorkeling before returning to the dock in Fajardo.

The drive to Villa Marina is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours from San Juan. Check in is at 8:15am (latest 8:30am) at the dock.

This was the single best experience of my life. If you are on the fence about going, definitely commit! It’s great for families with kids, college students, and older couples. It was the perfect length and the guides were extremely attentive. Not to mention how beautiful the scenery was and how fun the boat was. There is a bathroom on the boat and plenty of food/drinks were provided. Keep an eye out for dolphins!

Boat was cancelled on us. Still waiting on refund and it's been 2 weeks. Can't get ahold of anyone at viator. This is a review towards viator not the boat. I'm sure the boat ride would have been great if the ocean was cooperating.

Not a family event- more of a party boat

The island was gorgeous. The snorkeling was a bit dangerous bc of the tide and most people had been drinking for hours. It was a nice boat and overall it was ok. If you don’t want to spend 4-6 hours with drunk 20 year olds that vomit from drinking too much this is not for you.

Absolutely loved. We had a great time. Meet some new people, had tons of fun drinking, dancing, talking, etc. I’m not a rum girl but when I say the rum they served was sooooooo good. And when they say drinks are unlimited , trust and believe they mean it. They did not run out at all. We we visit San Juan again, we will definitely book another catamaran sail and with this same company again.

The trip is amazing but what’s truly amazing is the staff. They made my 4yr old feel very comfortable and attended to any extra precautions for him. He had a great time. Marcos made him feel very comfortable around the other passengers and encouraged him to swim and even try to jump off the both. We all had a great time. We’ve been on many catamaran tours but this exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to return!

Great experience!! The beach was beautiful !! All you need is sunscreen & water pouch for your phone & phone/ camera & cash for tips ! They provided cocktails, and non alcoholic drinks as well & lunch , sandwiches & pasta/ chips &’mini cookies and they kept the drinks coming the whole trip!!! Even while we swam around in the water for hrs! They pulled out a large water mat super fun !! The beach is beautiful and then we went snorkeling 🤿 and the area they went was ridiculous! I can swim and snorkeling in Miami/ Mexico and this reef was strong and the current was pulling us everywhere!! I needed a floaty I thought I was gonna drown just trying to swim against the the current 😅. Thank goodness they have equipment and ready to help people ! But we held onto the rope by the stairs and there was so many fish under and near the boat !!!! Awesome trip, the guys are funny and helpful !! An the ride back was fun we danced, laughed & continuously drank!! I did get more sunburned then I ever have and the sun was hardly out! Definitely put a second layer on before the way back!!

Giving two stars since I didn’t actually get to go on the catamaran. This was the highlight of our trip that we were looking forward to and we had booked a month in advance and was so excited for the tour. Upon our excursion day, the morning of we received a text saying our catamaran had been cancelled due to inclínate weather conditions. Instead we spent the whole day at the beach where it was sunny and did not rain until 4 o clock. We’re unable to reschedule since they were booked up, but still upset they cancelled due to “weather” when it was beautiful out so I’m not sure what happened there or when we will be refunded. Go ahead and book but have a backup plan incase they cancel your trip too!

I am sorry that we had to cancel the Catamaran trip. The Captain cancelled the trip because it was choppy and windy which makes it a rough to sail and not safe swimming or anchoring on the Island . It has nothing to do with being sunny. The decision is made by watching the marine forecast in the area of Icacos Island, not regular weather channel. We actually go out if there is some rain trough out the day, just not raining all day. We will always put safety first. You booked through a third Party, which was informed of the cancellation the same time we texted you. If they have not issued a refund you may want to follow up with them.

Eli was great. So was the rest of the crew. Drinks kept coming. Lunch was simple but delicious. Only recommendations, New snorkeling gear. Mine had some of the gaurd chewed off, and friends had tear in nose piece. But they replaced. Great time.

A fun and blissful time in Icacos Bay

Captain Robert and the crew (Eli, Adrian, Anthony) were great hosts and very capable sailors. They kept the drinks flowing and made sure everyone was comfortable the whole time. They all spoke English and Spanish fluently, which made communication very easy. The boat was clean and well maintained, as was the snorkeling equipment (make sure you get the flippers!). The crew kept the trip fun and by the end, they had everyone dancing! Thank you to Capt. Robert and crew!

Tour was awesome, views were amazing, crew was very welcoming, fun, kind and courteous. Felt safe the entire time. Food was just enough. No complaints would do it again and would recommend to everyone reading this that this tour is a must. You have to bring a camera to capture the moments. Drinks were great and there is also a bathroom aboard so dont worry.

I don’t have words to describe how amazing this trip was because this cruise is meant for a higher being that has the ability to understand how awesome of an adventure they put together!!! My father in law got sooo drunk and he kept saying that with the 65 years of traveling he hadn’t had so much fun as he did in this trip, i never seen him so happy before. The crew is very professional and treat you like family, they were like Spanish cousin coming by every 10min to check up on you and serve you the drink you choose. Music variation was great a little for everyone, my father in law hates reggaeton and for the first time I saw him jamming and dancing to every song. The food they serve you for lunch is great, a tasty sandwich with pasta salad chips and a cookie! At first when I saw this listing I thought it was pricy but its worth every penny HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT
