What To Expect

Make your way to the Caribe Hilton in San Juan to begin your sea trek experience.

Meet your professional sea trek guides on the hotel's private beach. Get a safety briefing and orientation, including hand signals for communicating underwater and a full description of what you can expect. Sea trekking is a great way to explore underwater if you have glasses or contacts, as your head will stay completely dry and you can avoid the hassles of salt water in your eyes or blurred vision. Children ages 8 and over are welcome to participate, provided they weight 80 lb (36kg) or more.

Once you're ready to begin, wade slowly into the shallow end of the calm, protected cove. Accompanied by your instructor, spend time underwater, moving at your own pace. Walk toward the deep end of the cove, where you can see squid, octopus, starfish, sea urchins and see horses, depending on conditions.

After your sea trekking experience, head back to the beach to learn more about the marine life you saw. Opt to purchase the underwater photos taken of you on your tour. Bathrooms, changing rooms and shower rooms are available to all guests after the tour has concluded.

All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to Sea Trekking. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor.
For children, all weights must be advised before booking (all participants must weight more than 80 lbs)

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The under water trek was a good experience. My only complaint is I booked 11:30-1:00 had a hard time getting through the parking lot so was about 5 minutes late. We were then rushed to sign waiver, got in about 11:40 our experience was over by 12:20. When I asked the lady didn't We pay for a hour and half tour she tells me that's incase someone gets lost or late. Which I was,but was rushed. I feel I didn't receive what I paid for. Other than that it was ok

The guides were great. Super friendly and knowledgeable. They explained everything and were very confident. My son enjoyed the dive and loved the star fish we found. Overall, it was a good trip but $300 for about a half hour was too expensive. This was a $99 tour just based on time alone.

Genuinely one of our best days on the trip! Our guide, Luis, was phenomenal and took steps to ensure everyone, including my friends with limited swimming ability, felt safe. This is perfect for those who have wanted an underwater experience but are not strong enough swimmers to dive or snorkel. The beach was clear and beautiful.

It's not a scary as it seems, and you don't need to know how to swim.

This was a pretty fun experience., In a great introduction into scuba diving. If you're hoping to encounter fish you definitely will, and you will end up with some pretty cool pictures. I would say it's definitely worth it to give it a try.
