Went on this tour with my friend and we both agree it's been the highlight of our trip. Sergio was the best driver and tour guide. The ride was enjoyable, and the waterfall at the end was beautiful. The salsa making and lunch were outstanding. Such a beautiful ranch and amazing experience. I'm recommending this to everyone I know who comes to PV in the future!

Best part of our whole trip!

Great experience all around, probably the best part of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. Tour guides spoke English and Spanish, provided water and helmets during the ride, and the lunch afterwards was amazing. Highly, highly recommend for couples, families (with children over 10), or small groups of friends.

We rode the horse with the guide for one hour each way through the mountain and creeks to get to a small water fall. The sceneries were beautiful. Then we had lunch at the ranch before departure. It was a very enjoyable excursion, highly recommended.

Was able to use transportation provided from Old Town PV. Nice staff and good horses. The ride to the falls was wonderful, and I was able to take a quick swim - water was still running in early May. Saw a baby cow along the way that was born 4 hours ago. Highly recommended activity to do something different than a day at the beach.

Communication with provider was great. Pick up spot was easy to get to. Sergio our driver was great. The ranch is about 45 minutes away from the marina. Food was excellent. No tortilla making, but we did make our own salsa. Horses were well taken care of. Cons: For a private ranch the amount of trash in the steams and plants was terrible. This is different from the trash you see on the road way. Beer cans, plastic bags and water bottles were all over the ranch even when we were an hour into the ride. Also, the hike to the waterfall is not easy. It involves crossing unstable bridges with planks missing, incredibly uneven and steep steps and terrain. This will absolutely not work if anyone in your party has mobility issues. You will ride for an hour, hike for about 10 minutes, about 10 minutes at the waterfall and hour back before lunch.

Such a fun time leisurely riding their beautiful horses followed by a delicious lunch complete with salsa making, fresh tortillas, and tequila tasting at the ranch. Great activity from start to finish!

My 15 and 13 year olds loved it and if you can get them to recommend anything then it must be good. Horses are easy to ride, they don’t require much effort. The hike to the waterfall isn’t hard however if you have a fear of heights then you might have a couple of panic moments. My fear of heights is so bad I can’t go on escalators but I managed this. Waterfall is cool. Lunch was great, get to make own salsa. Great homemade tortillas. I would do this again.

Fantastic time at a great location

Sergio our driver was fantastic. Funny and informative! Once we arrived at the ranch we got ready to ride right away. The horses were so well mannered and easy to ride. We felt safe the entire time. The ride to the water fall included many river crossings and the waterfall at the end was beautiful! Upon returning to the ranch we were able to have some drinks, try some aged tequila(the smoothest I have ever had). We made fresh Pico de gallo, we got to watch them make fresh corn tortillas, and they provided us with carne asada and pollo cooked over a wood fire. Served up with arroz, guacamole and salsa. Lunch was fantastic! Would definitely recommend!

Absolute best people run this tour! From pick up to drop off we had a great time. Horseback to the waterfall was super fun and safe. The food was absolutely amazing. Fresh salsa, great grilled chicken and steak and the best tortillas fresh, handmade and cooked over a hot pan from a wood fire. Mi carnal Sergio was the e best guide. Highly recommend . Saludos Maestro limpio! Nos vemos pronto!

This was the most incredible experience you could ask for! You get there and they tell you everything you need to know. I am experienced and was with someone who had never and they taught him everything! We rode through the jungle and through streams to bridges. Hike across the bridge to the waterfall! Then headed back where they showed us how to make pico de gallo and tortillas! The staff were incredible and funny! This experience is one you do not want to miss! (And for only $80 I might add, with free drinks)

Is you’re at all interested in the outdoors this tour is for you! The horses are healthy and very well mannered. Sergio, our driver and guide, was so fun and knowledgeable about the area. The ride was peaceful and Rancho Capomo is beautiful. Lunch was exceptional! Highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful trip with my daughter. Sergio picked us up and immediately began entertaining us and telling us about what we were seeing. The horseback ride was beautiful and the hike to the waterfall breathtaking. Lunch was some of the best food we've ever had! Highly recommended.

What great fun! Sergio was our tour guide, picked us up in the Zona Romantica, and drove us to the Ranch. He is very entertaining! Rancho Capoma is immaculately clean, the staff are very friendly and nice. The horses are in good condition! The terrain for the trail ride is very rocky and we’re crisscrossed back and forth over the river several times. We rode about an hour and dismounted to trek over handmade wooden bridges to the waterfall. Not for the faint of heart! You can swim, but being January, the mountain water was very cold. We mounted back up and returned to the ranch for a brief salsa cooking lesson, lunch, and tequila. We had a great time!

The best horse back riding in Puerto Vallarta

Great experience from the minute we go on the shuttle bus with warm welcome at the ranch, ample instructions and great safe ride through the woods, creeks and shallow rivers with walking experience on the hanging wooden bridges and getting to see a magnificent waterfall. Upon returning to the ranch and cleaning up in clean and upscale bathrooms, tasty margaritas were poured very generously and we received Mexican cooking lessons, tequila tasting from a barrel and ended our trip with the tastiest locally grown beef and chicken combo accompanied by rice and beans. Great day that I recommend to anyone.

Was a great time!! We went with kids and they enjoyed it as well. Salsa making at the end with lunch was so much fun! The ride there and back was about an hour in the car but it made for a fun half day outing

Excellent with kids. Wear your bathing suit under your clothes if you plan to get in the waterfall. There is not a changing area at the waterfall. Bathrooms at the ranch are very clean and have toilet seats and paper. If you plan to take pictures with your phone, a waterproof case is a good idea. Some of the horses splash a lot in the river. Plan to get wet. Bring cash if you want to buy photos or bottles of tequila to take home. Staff speak English but are very appreciative if you speak to them in Spanish. We felt very welcome. Food was excellent.
