Not bad, but misleading title and description
Boris_N, Dec 2022
We booked a private tour, which was clearly stated in the title and description. However, we ended up in a semi-private tour with one other ATV. When I asked how come we are not getting a private tour as booked, I was told "It is only private if no one else books it!" When I said that that makes no sense and that what I booked clearly said "private", I was told that "Other vendors in the area also list their tours as private, but send 8-10 vehicles together". At that point, the discussion became pretty pointless.
The tour itself was fine and our RZR was beat up but OK. While it is listed as 3-hours, we probably only drove for about 1 hour and 20 min or so. The first stop, you have to pay 50 pesos per person or buy a drink and then you can swim by the small waterfall, which was nice and refreshing. The next stop, is tequila tasting, which was pretty good and then you are offered to buy some. The final stop is at a restaurant, which was very slow and pretty packed. The food was not bad, but took a long time.
Overall, not a terrible tour, but lots of misleading info, a bait and switch in terms of not getting the private tour I paid for and effectively short drives between stops (where they probably get kickbacks) where you are offered to buy stuff (though we never felt pressured).
