    Don't go on this uncomfortable boat

    This was not a fun trip. I thought we were supposed to have some entertainment, there was none., Drinks were not fresh. Sandwiches were okay. And I know they can't control the waves or if we see whales, but the ride was very bumpy and uncomfortable. The hard plastic seats were even unbolted in spots. One poor girl was ill and they still harassed her for a tip at the end! We couldn't believe it. Only saw 2 small tails which was too bad. Waste of our money. Couldnt wait to get back. Spend more and go on a catamaran instead.

    My pictures do not do this justice. If I could upload a video you’d spend whatever it takes to enjoy this experience. Crew was amazing, trip was smooth, patrons were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.

    So many whales and even a school of dolphins!!! Friendly staff and an amazing experience! I have taken several boat tours and this one was by far the best!!!

    Meeting new people, seeing a cow with her calf. Loved the Dolphin. Lunch was very good as were the Pina colodas!! Being out on the water was very nice. Thanks for a great tour!!!

    We saw 5! This is a scenic ride with food and drink. They’re pretty good at finding 1 or 2 whales up close, but you’ll probably see more…we didn’t learn any whale facts because the host gave the facts only in Spanish. It was still enjoyable. We saw a couple having a drunken quarrel. It made an entertaining afternoon.

    Very dangerous getting on and off the boat. Lunch was sparse. Crew was friendly. Did not see many whales. Was advertised as 4 and 1/2 hours was only out 2 hours.

    Our experience was aweful. The boat was an hour late and when the boat arrived it was a small boat. Staff member told us if we weren’t comfortable with the size of boat and the number of people getting on it we could go in and request refund which we did. Director inside would not give us a refund and was very condescending. Had to go to our credit card company and dispute charge. Very disappointing!

    Amazing, lots of fun, highly motivated crew, fully recommended trip on Catalina III boat. The Captain Ismael, main tourist guide Mr. Leo, guides Marcos and Brayan were all outstanding professionals, they surely know their stuff, thanks again guys for such an amazing whale watching experience.

    We saw multiple whales, including new caves, breaching on numerous occasions to the delight of not only every single guests but our very friendly and knowledgeable guide. The food, or snacks were more than adequate, but the drinks were plentiful and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Great trip-most memorable!

    It is with regret to let you know that our tour in Puerto Vallarta was good but not as it should have been. It was a 4.5 hr tour but the tour lasted for only 3 hr. We saw a few whales but no dolphins and we were kept on promising that there will be sightings soon but nowhere did we see any. Please kindly look into this and make a refund at your earliest convenience. Look forward to hearing from you soon

    The crew was excellent and attentive, although I asked the main crew member if there were any snacks left and he said there weren’t, but I went to the car area and there were snacks left. We saw no dolphins and very few whales, and only their backs. That was VERY disappointing, and frankly, a waste of time, although the boat ride was nice and the captain did the best he could to find whales.

    We went whale watching with Vallarta by boat. It’s an older boat, but the crew is nice and provides a small snack. The all inclusive drinks don’t start until towards the end of the trip. Overall it’s a nice experience to see some whales.

    I have nothing but good things to say about our experience!! We went on the 12:30 tour, it was easy to find the port, the boat wasn’t crowded at all and the staff were amazing, they kept a drink in my hand the whole time and were so friendly. The whales were incredible, they came all around the boat and even right under us. What an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience, I would highly recommend this tour!!!

    They overbooked the tour and prioritized cruise passengers. We, and several others, were told we wouldn't get on the boat and we'd have to return for another time. These tickets were booked in advance, and 'confirmed' the night before. We arrived at the meeting point early (spending cab fare) before they told us someone made a mistake with the reservations. Nothing else was available to book the same day, they handled it very poorly and I'm still waiting for a refund. I'd recommend using Vallarta Adventures instead, that group had many positive recommendations and their space was much more organized.

    Excellent crew! We saw many whales and a set of bottle nosed dolphins. VERY respectful of the whales per regulations of how close motor boats can be...therefore you should update the photo with a whale near the boat because we no longer are allowed to do that (thank goodness) and it creates a false expectation.
