Overall absolutely worth doing but...

Highly recommend but be aware that you will spend around 10 hours travelling for 5 hours of a very spectacular activity. We were travelling with 2 kids of 8 and 11 years of age. The whole trip is physically demanding. Don’t do this with smaller children or older people - especially I the summer with the high humidity and temperatures in Venice are surprisingly tiring. Special recommendation go to the activities offered by the organiser: just do them all! Ferry, food, guide, gondolas and watertaxi through the grand canal - it is the best you can do during the limited time you have !

Nice but with some flaws

Nice trip overall ,but very complicated passage trough custom/passport control a both (Croatia and Italy ) Many expensive extras not mentioned in the trip description(like water taxi 17 euros one way ,even map with pencil had been offered for 5euros !!!!!!) Too little time in Venice ,because of all transfers But can be recommended for a first brief visit to any group

I understand that you had police controls and although it may come across as wasted time, this is something that we cannot control. Croatia is a NON schengen country so passport control is a must and not something which we choose or impose but the governments and the EU impose this. As regards to the comments about the extras, extras sold on board are optional, and it is up to the passenger to decide whether to purchase any extras or not. We hope your overall experience in Venice was enjoyable

Excellent trip. Guide was very good. Go for the 'full package' when on the catamaran. It costs about 85 euro per adult but it's worth it. Must pay in cash. We saw so much and experienced so much of Venice in just a few hours.

Very slow check-in before arrival from Pula. A very nice boat trip with good information on board. More than an hour spent in queue for passport control when arriving in Venice - with the consequence that we got too little time in this lovely city.

Staff friendly and informative, providing an efficient service. Three hours or so journey, but time was filled with explanation / itinery etc. Guided tour was useful giving both the history of Venice and it's culture, along with dos and donts whilst in the city! We chose to walk in and it didn't take too long. I would definately use Venizia lines again.
