This tour will end at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma in Venice. From here our guide will help you get public transportation or private transfer to train station, airport or your hotel. We can also help arrange the transfer of your luggage.

Our hosts and buses will be waiting at the port of Ravenna holding up signs "Vexperio" and "Essence of Venice".

Please bring some change in EUR for toilet stops, beverages and for lunch. Please ask our tour guide in Venice to arrange for a stop at an ATM if you do not have EUR with you. US dollars are not accepted in Italy.
This tour is not wheelchair or scooter accessible but passengers with reduced mobiliy can do a minimal amount of walking, as we bring the group to and from the St. Mark's Square on a boat.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

we spent a full day in Venice after our cruise They picked us up out side the port and drove us to Venice We met our tour guide for the Day Elena, and she was fantastic so informative We were amazed at the sites and all the knowledge that Elena filled us with i would definitely recommend it was so worth it

The transfer over from the cruise ship was seamless and comfortable. We even arrived ahead of schedule and was able to put our luggage at the hotel. Adair met us shortly after and she was the highlight of our trip! She knew everything there was to know about Venice! It was surreal to be picked up on a boat almost immediately and whisked away into the canals to see the city! We enjoyed a beautiful gondola ride as well. Adair helped us to order the best foods at the local cafes and showed us so many beautiful sights. She made our trip memorable and special!

Our tour was amazing! We were picked up from the cruise ship, drove to Venice in a nice and comfortable van, then did a four hour walking & gondola tour of Venice. After the tour we got back in the van and were taken to the airport. It was perfect.

Good Tour / Lots of Walking / Plan your own reservation for St. Mark's

Pick up at the Ravenna port was great. Private van was way quicker than the cruise ship's buses. Our tour guide was very helpful in getting us to our hotel, setting up water taxis to the airport and making restaurant recommendations. The gondola ride was great as well. It was a little disappointing that, for the price ($250 per person for a group of 8 - over $2,000), the tour did not include a reservation and tour of St. Mark's cathedral and we didn't go to Rialto bridge. I think our tour guide was trying to avoid the "touristy" areas but when you only have a day in Venice you really want to see the touristy things. Also we walked A LOT. When I checked my Apple watch at the end of the day I had over 20,000 steps (a little over 9 miles). I think there was some walking that could have been left out of the tour. At the end of our tour we were all so tired that we decided not to do the 30 minute walk back to our hotel and took a water taxi that cost 115 Euros. Overall it was a good tour.

We are very glad that you enjoyed the pick-up, our guide's assistance, and the gondola ride. Our transportation is indeed much more comfortable and quick than the cruise lines' buses and our guides know all about our beautiful city and are always ready to share their knowledge. I am however very sorry about the misunderstanding around your itinerary: the description of your tour states that no inside visits/reservations are included. It is a shame that you did not let us know this was your wish, as we discussed the plan for your tour over many weeks - as this could have been arranged. The island of Venice does not have streets and therefore tours here do usually require quite a bit of walking! We also offer private accessible tours of Venice for those with mobility issues, that are done with a private boat - instead of walking. As you know, we offered many complimentary services for your group: as you were concerned about the size of transportation, we arranged for an additional, 2nd van for your group so you could have more space; we converted your tour from a group one to a private tour, we arranged for a private water taxi for you - all at no additional cost. We are a bit saddened that this did not warrant us a 5-star review but we are really happy that we were able to show you our wonderful city and will take your feedback into consideration so that we can provide an even better experience for the future Vexperio guests to Venice!
