Experience the fun of a family-friendly tour by all-terrain vehicle (ATV) through the Icelandic countryside near Reykjavik. Choose from a single or double ride and follow your guide to Hafravatn Lake, for a photo stop and to observe local wildlife, on your way to Mount Hafrafell. From here you can enjoy beautiful views of Reykjavik and other nearby towns as well as the lava that came from Hafnafjordur Volcano many years ago. Expect to cross rivers and scale mountains on your sturdy ATV, with all equipment included.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

This tour was great fun! I am in no way the outdoorsy type, but riding these ATVs around and up a mountain was really fun. Our guide was fantastic. He kitted us out in gear, gave us instruction before we started out and at each stop checked to make sure we were ok and having a good time. He also explained a little about the terrain and vegetation. Being a city boy, this was a great way to see a bit of the countryside. I highly recommend it!

As a first-time ATVer, I wasn't sure I would enjoy this trek. The journey exceeded my expectations. They provided everything you need. We had rain, wind, and sun. We travelled by road and then through natural terrain until we reached our hilltop destination with fantastic views of the Iceland landscape. I highly recommend this excursion. BTW, I am 60 and in decent shape. We had 17-66 year olds in our group. Enjoyed by all.

This ATV excursion was the perfect addition to our journey in Iceland. Our guides were excellent, making sure we were safe, taking photos of us, and giving us recommendations for other excursions. The ride up and down two mountains was exhilarating, with stunning views of Reykjavík and the ocean. Before leaving, we also got to stop and pet some Icelandic horses!

Don’t let your first impressions fool you. The tour was fantastic. It was very easy to get comfortable driving the quads and our kids had a great experience. Short distance from the city but it feels like it’s a world away. Highly recommend the tour.

This was a wonderful way to spend a few afternoon hours. Our guide, while not particularly loquacious, was incredibly sweet and super helpful. He picked us up near our hotel and drove us back to Mosfellsbaer, where we picked up our ATVs and proceeded up a mountain (Lali), stopping off first at the breathtaking lake Hafravatn. On the way back we stopped at a horse farm (my favorite part!), then visited a mine. After the mine, we headed back to base, and our guide drove us back to Reykjavik. I highly recommend.

Snowy ATV adventure

This was my first time driving an ATV and it was such a cool experience. The tour guide made it comfortable for me to drive at my own pace. It was super snowy terrain after 3 straight days of snowfall, but we were able to go up one mountain and halfway up the second mountain but had to turn around cause it was too snowy. We even saw some Icelandic horses! Definitely great for beginners.

Best experience we have ever done. Was offered a refund or reschedule due to the wind however decided to go ahead anyway as we were on our last day and so glad we did! The views were amazing and the experience as a whole was so fun. Would definitely recommend for anyone in Iceland/visiting.
