AMAZING!
Moira_K, Oct 2022
My mom and I booked this tour and can not recommended it enough. Gunnar was our guide and he did great! He was knowledgeable about the history and science of the places we visited, so he was good at answering all our questions. We were lucky in that we had beautiful weather the entire trip even though it was October. Everything we visited was spectacular- even the short quick stops we made with extra time. Thank you for an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime trip. ❤️
A trip of a lifetime!

This Ring Road trip is just phenomenal, jam-packed actions and so much to see. Our tour guide/driver "Diddy" is a great guide and told us stories (sagas) and jokes, and he's a great asset to the company being a native Icelander. The tour is named Adventurous tour and it lives up to its name, although it is deemed as "easy" hiking, but it's really not for the physically unfit as there are lots of walking and hiking and climbing, especially to the ice caves where you have to walk a mile on rocky terrain and crossing streams to get to the cave. Other sites have a lot of climbing uphill as well. The food and hotels are good. Overall, I would recommend this tour as it is well worth the price. We went during the first week of October and we can tell how close it is to wintry weather. Right after we came back to Reykjavik, the weather up north turned severe and tours have to be rerouted as roads are closed.
Great tour of Iceland! Highly recommend!!!

This was a fantastic trip! Hilmer, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt very safe with him driving especially with the wind blowing so fast. I would recommend anyone that’s planning to come to Iceland to do this tour, whether in group or alone. I loved everything about it. All the people we met on tour, we won’t forget. Each hotel that we stayed at had great service and great food! A little tip, make sure you follow the guide for what clothes to bring because you can get wet or it can be very cold, so plan accordingly. Safe travels!
A Fantastic Tour

This tour is awesome! We get to see all aspects of Iceland, learn about its culture, and participate adventure activities, such as walking on glacier, hiking to the waterfalls, riding on a fishing boat to watch whales, etc. Iceland is indeed a beautiful country and people are very nice and friendly. Our guide and driver, Almar is great! He is very knowledgeable on Iceland history, culture, and geology. He shares his information with us while droving through areas. He is friendly, professional, and care. He informed us about northern light forecast and where and when is a good time to see it daily. We actually saw the northern lights on our last night of the tour on 09/22/22. It is amazing. He drove us to see Glacier lagoon 2nd time because it was heavy rain the day before. He also kept us on schedule so that we can get into a hotel on time for the dinner. He made good suggestions on dinners while we stay in a town. In addition, he is a very good and safe driver as there are over 5 hours driving a day. Overall, it is a great tour and I highly recommend it.
BEST TOUR EXPERIENCE, BEST GUIDE!!!
Zahra_H, Jul 2022
Wonderful tour with an even lovelier guide, Gunnar! He showed us places that meant something special to him and that took the tour to a more intimate and curated place for us. He was very patient and helpful. Truly the best guide we’ve had! The tour itself was the perfect number of days to see Iceland. Sometimes we wish we had more time because it’s hard to take in the beauty in an hour for specific areas, but it’s okay cause it was all worth it! We’ve used this your company twice now and can’t recommend them enough.
Best vacation ever!
Laura_K, Jul 2022
The varied landscapes and every experience was better than the last! Hiking a glacier, geysers, black sand beaches, craters! Our guide (Soli) was fabulous. He made the trip special!
Best trip ever!

I celebrated my birthday by booking this tour and it was not disappointing. Unfortunately, I had missed Day 1 of the tour but was luckily to have been able to catch up with the group by that night. Arctic Adventures had been very accommodating and helpful. Adolf, the tour guide, is an experienced local and very passionate about his country and culture. An amazing driver through the various weather changes and sketchy roads. Each day was fun and adventurous, with some additional stops that Adolf suggests we would enjoy! - like the local ice cream place from his hometown or to stop and capture great shots of the sun setting. We were not able to catch the Northern Lights due to cloudy, rainy, snowy weather =( , however, the trip overall and the company I have shared the past 6 days/nights with made it all worthwhile. Each hotel night varied in style and comfort, breakfast was just enough. We had lunch/dinner as a group. Did not need to use cash, every place took card. Bus was comfortable enough for 11 people with rotating seats daily with plenty of room, and USB chargers and Wifi! Definitely dress warm with layers, wind/rain/snow proof, thick socks, comfortable hiking, waterproof, snow boots with good traction. Thank you Adolf and Team Eleven! This has been the best trip, best birthday, and birthday celebration this far! I highly recommend this tour to get a wholesome feel of the country and not just the city, you will not regret!!!
Great tour and great guide

I spent an excellent trip with the group and Saga , our great guide tour , thank you for your smile , your energy during this trip :)
Great Experience Seeing all of Iceland
Michael_J, Oct 2019
First of all our tour guide, Iggy, was great! Made lots of interesting stops that were unexpected as well as getting us to the scheduled places. The tour includes accommodations for 5 nights in very nice hotels with breakfast. Dinner on your own provides an opportunity to sample local cuisine that was unique at each stop and delicious! We saw all of Iceland including many beautiful waterfalls, glacier hiking, and whale watching. This trip was billed as easy but you should know that there is a lot of walking involved. Free wi-fi on the bus, ample bathroom stops and very scenic drives between major sites made bus time enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.
Most Awesome Trip Ever

The 6-Day small group adventure tour around Iceland was incredible. A true bucket list experience. Our guide Hjalti Bjornsson was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable about Iceland from the history, economy, geology, food, etc. His passion for Iceland was truly contagious. He went overboard to ensure that everyone on the trip had a wonderful experience. There were 19 on the tour and all were delightful.
Fabulous Tour!!
Carole_M, Sep 2019
Hjalti was an excellent guide! We had a fabulous time and we really appreciated his wealth of knowledge about your wonderful country. We learned so much!
Fabulous Iceland trip
LaiKey_K, Aug 2019
The itinerary is well planned including all major attractions within the limit of 6 days. Accommodation is comfy and clean. We have particularly enjoyed the boat trip at Glacier Lagoon (extra cost) and whale watching in big boat. We have thought of changing to rhib boat, but was glad we didn't change cos the rhib boat may be closer to whales but doesn't include fishing (fun and tasty to eat grilled fish!!) and trip was shorter. Overall, we have totally relaxed and enjoyed the trip a lot, without having to drive at all.

What a great experience! Fellow tour mates were the nicest people and our Tour Guide/driver, Sindri, was the best. We saw all the tourist sites along the Ring Road and also the ones that the locals only know about! You don't get that driving yourself! We saw the one current UNESCO site that is on mainland Iceland site of the first Parliament in the world and 5 of the 7 tentative sites on this tour. The accomodates were wonderful. Waterfalls, Glaciers, Geysers, Thermal Pools, animals, just a wonderful country!!!

This tour was seriously one of the best travel experiences I have ever made. I felt like I really got to know Iceland, not only wandering the beaten tourist tracks. Massive thanks to our guide Ricky who made this trip unforgetable and succeded in making us all fall in love with his beautiful country

Fantastic tour! The tour guide, Svan, was amazingly attentive to people's needs and had just the right attitude as a tour guide. He kept us on track. Good driver, very personable and relaxed, he made the tour fun and fulfilling. Can't say enough about how great he was! We saw many wonderful places. This a great, well-organized tour. The places we stayed were good or adequate. So many beautiful waterfalls and sites along the way. One beautiful scene after another. Prices in Iceland for food are very high, but that is not the fault of the tour folks. Be prepared to pay about 1 US for toilet use in many places. Even 2 US in one place and they took a credit card! Pretty unbelievable and annoying. But some other places are free. I hope someday the prices for food not included in the tour become more reasonable. I brought some protein bars and granola with me, as I am a vegetarian and could not always eat the food that was available on the tour. Note that Reykjavik has some great restaurants for vegans and vegetarians, but hard to find outside of the city. Overall, it was well worth it, and the tour price is reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend this fantastic tour!

This trip is fantastic. Every day has new incredible outdoor sites and activities. We walked on a Glacier, hiked to amazing waterfalls, saw Yellowstone like Geysers, went Whale Watching. The accommodations were basic but adequate. You need to be reasonable fit to enjoy this trip but not a big hiker. No one was forced to do anything. The tour guide was terrific and Iceland is amazing. Everything is expensive in Iceland so be prepared. North of Manhattan where I am from. The only negative was Viator. They are actually just a booking agent for Arctic Adventures. I suggest booking directly with them. We got no information from Viator, not even the voucher without having to call. Their agents cover a wide range of bookings and had very limited knowledge. Once we were connected directly with the operator everything was great.

CHIONG MOON B, Jul 2017
It was an awesome tour and it has exceeded my expectations by multiple folds. Let me begin with my first day's encounter with our tour guide cum coach driver - Norbert or fondly known as Norris. He was punctual on the pick-up time and welcomed us on board with open arms. It's a 20-seaters mini coach but there were only 13 of us for the entire trip so it was reasonably comfortable and we had the chance to rotate our seating arrangement throughout the journey. I was amazed that Norris's dedication to his job was so profound that he went for a second or even third round to ensure he did not omit picking up all his passengers on the list even though a couple of the passengers did not turn up at their respective pick-up destinations. We covered all the places as stipulated in the itinerary and we even had a few pleasant surprises when Norris diverted to some nearby interesting spots which were not on the itinerary. Kudos, Norris! I would say all the hotels included in the tour we checked in were fantastic with clean bedsheets, towels and shower facilities. Wi-fi was excellent in all the hotels. However there was a couple of hotels i think in the eastern / northern Iceland which were so isolated from the town center where we had to dine in the hotel restaurant. Personally i find the hotel food prices were exorbitant. Well, most of the things in Iceland are expensive anyway! We were given sufficient time to explore the sites and what i enjoyed the most was the informative commentaries given by Norris before we arrived at the next stops. Simply excellent. I just love his local folklore and troll stories which inspired me to buy a couple of these books for collection. It's so amazing that he could remember his story lines so well. You will never feel bored listening to his bedtime story everyday. So folks, if you are interested to explore Iceland and would like to join a local tour i strongly recommend you to go for Arctic Adventures. It's cool, stylist and value for money, Oh i nearly forgot to mention we had a great company of fun-loving people from all over the world in our small group - Australia, Ireland, Turkey, Germany, USA Ohio. Holland, Brazil and Malaysia! The small number is just the right size to mingle and know each other better. Of course we had already exchanged contact numbers to stay in touch. You see, new friends are easy to make when you participate in a smaller group tour. Last but not least, you need to be very picky to choose who your guide is if you ever consider joining Arctic Adventures to see Iceland. It gotta be Norris - the cool dude!!!! Ciao! Jennie_S, Sep 2016
I loved my time in Iceland, and for the most part the tour with Arctic Adventures. Our guide, Frimann, was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the country. They managed to squeeze so much fun into 6 days. It almost seemed too rushed as we had so much on our agenda that we were very limited in how long we could spend at each place we visited and there was a lot of driving time each day many times I'd have liked to stay longer, but on the other hand keeping it to 6 keeps the cost down. Reasons why I cannot give the full 5 stars: The vehicle was way too cramped, particularly the back row. It was ridiculously uncomfortable to squeeze 4 full grown adults into that row for the long amount of driving we did each day. Too much time in the car and not enough time enjoying Iceland's many wonders again, it was necessary in order to keep this itinerary at this cost, but all the same.
Un paseo maravilloso
paovero, Aug 2022
