Big Mistake

I would not recommend this tour or this company to anyone. The one previous review I saw was very misleading, he referenced having a tour guide which you most certainly do not have and all of the experienced he mentioned that he enjoyed you don’t even do. There is absolutely no value in booking this. You’re paying a company a premium to book your hotel and a few day tours. I had to change my hotel multiple times during this trip due to what they called “availability” and I didn’t participate in the hop on hop off tour because several people today me that it was a waste of time and money, not to mention they found it off my tour company would book me for that when it’s more for children and families (while I’m a 30 y.o. solo female traveler). One day tour company they booked me with was particularly bad “Troll” was late with pick ups, unprofessional, didn’t give much information, was a dangerous driver and added additional stops causing the tour to go over time and interfere with other plans. They don’t even bother to book you or offer to book you with other experiences. I just so happened to book The Blue Lagoon on my own through Viator and it just so happened to also be with this company. I also had issues getting ahold of them when I ran into issues. The packet of information they provided was a joke, there were a dozen attachments I was sent but nothing was organized or in one place. I definitely feel robbed and wish I had just done everything on my own.

Dear Megan, Unfortunately it is not within our control the fact that you encountered flight delays upon your landing in Iceland, causing some other delays with your airport shuttle to Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon.Our customer service quickly stepped in to assist in the situation and arranged your transfers onto the next available bus to Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon. Regarding your day tours, allow us to clarify one more time, that these are seat-in-coach shared tours, not private tours. So sharing transportation with other people implies to make a few stops to get them on the bus as well. And usually the extra stops are very welcome by all clients, as we give them the chance to get to see something more, have extra photo stops and the opportunity to stretch their legs for a bit. Also our drivers are proffessional and will never do something to put our clients in danger. The attachments we sent you were the actual tickets and vouchers for your tours and among those tickets you received a full and detailed itinerary including all the voucher numbers, pick-ups, drop-offs, stops along the way, accommodation etc. We advise our customers to check the itinerary and vouchers before arrival, allowing them to be more familiar with the tour. We hope that in the end you had a pleasant time in Iceland and maybe in the future you'll get to visit us again!
