Long day with great sites
Julie_S, Mar 2023
It is a long day, but a worthwhile trip to see the south and east coast of Iceland. The bus is very comfortable and there were many opportunities to see waterfalls and glaciers. We had a cold day, but it was clear so we could see lots.
Breathtaking from the start.
CraigA, Mar 2023
Had such an amazing trip. Pearla was an amazing guide who really brought the trip alive with her knowledge and passion for Iceland and nature. The tour was a long day but we had plenty of stops. We was even lucky enough on the way home to stop and see the Northern Lights which was not part of the trip. I 100% recommend doing this trip, you will not be disappointed.
Great trip!
Vera_M, Mar 2023
This is a very long but great tour! Definitely recommend it. Perla and Micah were wonderful. They stopped and spent an extra time to hunt some gorgeous Northern Lights!
I heart Iceland: Jökulsárlón Glaciers
Cassandra_B, Mar 2023
Our tour guide Perla and bus driver Michael, amazing. What a great blend of energy and knowledge! What fabulous ambassadors for Iceland. 100%+ recommend this tour and hopefully you all get to meet Perla & Michael! Thank you for stopping for the Aurora, will be taking these photos, stories and Icelandic knowledge back to Australia ❤️
Great views
karling77, Mar 2023
amazing views but very long trip to get there. I would recommend a semi private or private tour instead. Emily was a great guide, very knowledgable and super accomodating.
Must see!
Antonia_R, Mar 2023
Chiarra, our tour guide and Carmen, our bus driver were great. The day was long but didn’t feel that way. We saw amazing sites and heard amazing stories. This is a must do tour!
Long trip, but worth it!
Bill_H, Mar 2023
Getting up close to the great glacier was most memorable. And we had a fantastic guide, Emily, and a skillful driver, Jan.
It was a great tour!...

Amazing day
Betty_C, Feb 2023
This was my favourite tour of my holiday. I have never seen glaciers before and this trip really enabled me to take in the beautiful stunning landscapes, breathe fresh crisp air and learn about the history of Iceland. I would thoroughly recommend this tour, although it's a long day, it was totally worth it! Piotre (driver) and Beggie (tour guide) were amazing, kept us safe, in the know and entertained.
Worth every moment
Mary_D, Feb 2023
We knew this would be a long day and it was HOWEVER it was worth it. Our tour guide Beggi and driver Piotr were absolutely amazing. They broke up the journey so well you didn’t feel like you were sitting in a bus all day. Our goal was to see the diamonds at Diamond Beach and the glaciers. There were no diamonds the day we went but Beggi and Piotr brought us to 2 glacier lagoons to ensure we saw the beautiful ice and it was breathtaking. In addition to that and the lava fields there were other little stops along the way that were just so picturesque. It was a wonderful tour, Beggi was so knowledgeable and gave us a few laughs along the way- I was with my husband and 4 young children and they loved it too. I highly recommend this tour!
Icebergs
CLARE_P, Feb 2023
Once in a life time experience absolutely fantastic the glacier where unreal black beach the coach drive and the tour gide couldn't fault any of it a must if your going Iceland
Okay, not great, looking day
owenedmonds, Feb 2023
Very long day, made even longer as people kept coming back to the bus late and the guide didn't do anything about it. Got dropped off at our bus stop about 11.50pm. Having been picked up at 7am that is a long day. The day itself was enjoyable. This was a large bus full of people. If I had the chance to do this again, I would pay more to do a small group version.
Long bus ride but good tour guide
Candyce_S, Feb 2023
It was nice to see all the nature of Iceland but there were more hours spent on the bus unfortunately. Mia was an amazing tour guide. She was funny and lively. Eugene was a great driver as well. We did make lots of stops for toilet and food breaks which helped. Definately bring snacks/drinks with you. We appreciate both the tour guide and driver as it was a long and productive day.

Amazing scenery and...
Yvonne_D, Feb 2023
Amazing scenery and sights, disappointing to not see diamonds on diamond beach and a very long day. Lack of wifi on coach was an issue as many hours sitting on it plus time slippage so we didn't return to our hotel until very late. Unfortunately our tour guide made the decision to not stop at diamond beach as there were few 'diamonds' on it but it would have been nice to make that decision ourselves. Not quite up to the normal standard of viator tours.
A trip for hardy - but very rewarding
Peter_B, Feb 2023
The best parts 1/ the scenery 2/the sparseness 3/the views 4/the closeness to nature 5/the closeness to the glaziers and icebergs The negative is the shear length of the trip
A long day but absolutely worth it!
Paul_H, Feb 2023
This trip is a long one but the amazing scenery along the south coast makes the time go quickly. The drive to Jökulsárlón is about 5 hours on a straight run but we had rest and lunch stops on the way to break up the time. The mountains, cliffs and waterfalls on the route mean there is always something to see. At Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach there weren't too many icebergs, ironically because it was too cold and they were locked in the glacier! That didn't make the view any less amazing. We also did an extra stop at the neighbouring Fjallsárlón lagoon which gets you even closer to the glacier. We were incredibly lucky on the drive back to see Seljalandsfoss with the Northern Lights making a surprise appearance. Real bucket list stuff. Our guide, Chiara (probably spelt incorrectly!) was extremely knowledgeable and made the drive very interesting. Hats off too to our driver who had to navigate some very heavy snow at times on a very long drive. Definitely recommended.
Great day trip

Be prepared for ALOT of time on the coach - but it's soooooo worth it! We passed some amazing scenery on the way, with a constant narrative from our guide, Beggi. Hats off to the driver, Eugene - a he drove through some appalling weather! First stop was Fellsfjara (Diamond Beach), whilst there weren't any "diamonds" on this black sand beach, it was beautifully wild and elemental, with fierce high waves and snow. Next stop was Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. Unfortunately, the lagoon was frozen, so it hasn't been possible for any "icebergs" to break off from the glacier and pass through the lagoon, but it was still beautiful and at the end of the day, nature dictates what you see on the day, which is what makes these places even more special. Because we hadn't seen much at the lagoon, Beggi and Eugene took us to a non- scheduled stop, a place even they hadn't been yet - a newly formed lagoon called Fjallsarlon lagoon and wow, I think this topped anything we may have seen at Jokulsarlon! You can get pretty close to the edge of the glacier, the colours are absolutely 😍. Last stop of the day was Sejalandfoss - we reached there about 9pm, so it was lit up, such a special way to see this waterfall. Just avoid the other tourists clambering over each other to get that perfect Instagram moment, and take time to listen to the road of the water, breathe the pure, crisp air, and take in the elemental force of nature. On our way back to Reykjavik, the coach sound system had broken so Beggi sang us a traditional Icelandic rimur ("rhyme") - a perfect way to round off an unforgettable day.
Excellent trip
puja_h, Feb 2023
This is a brilliant trip - if you are not in Iceland for very long this is an ideal way to see the majestic glaciers. The weather was pretty bad on the way there and back (but clear when we reached our destinations!) and our driver Joun and guide Gary kept very calm and professional throughout with our safety a priority. It is a long day, but there are plenty of rests and stops along the way - and the view is worth it!
Stunning day!
